Genetically Modified: Tag, You’re IT

“The history of biotechnology is not well known. It comes as a surprise to most people to find out that it was not a scientific discovery. Genetic engineering technology was deliberately devised by a small group of people who were looking for a way to manipulate life according to their own designs and for their own purposes. Once they identified genes as a material basis for life, they figured out how to manipulate them, using recombinant DNA technology, and they immediately found commercial uses for their products.

“The underlying conceit is what MIT science historian Lily Kay calls the “molecular vision of life.” It came about, she says, as the result of the effort of a few scientists, along with their academic and philanthropic sponsors, who had a shared vision about how they could use genes to reshape science and society. Kay says this small group of people laid claim to DNA as a means to an end, once they decided that it was ‘the secret of life.’

“This new ‘protein paradigm’ reduced the enormous complexity of life down to a few component parts and provided a biological basis for the idea that microorganisms could be engineered. This was the ‘new biology.’  …And it offered those who adopted it a previously unimagined mastery over both nature and society.” –pp8-9, Uncertain Peril, by Clare Hope Cummings, 2008

“The desire for patents and profits sweetened the prospects for all concerned. Kay says the long-standing boundaries between what was ‘public’ and what was ‘private’ were erased as corporate and government interests merged… [And] what emerged was a matrix of control. Biotechnology began to dominate scientific research… In the end, it’s been the triumph of what Kay calls the ‘technocratic approach to life.’ …Whether it was intended or not, the way biotechnology was developed has resulted in a relatively small number of players achieving an unprecedented and overarching level of control over life on earth. It brings to mind the words of Justice William O. Douglas, who warned that ‘ as nightfall does not come at once, neither does oppression. In both instances, there’s a twilight where everything remains seemingly unchanged, and it is in such twilight that we must be aware of change in the air, however slight, lest we become unwitting victims of the darkness.’ “ –pp10-11, ibid.

“Can a microscopic tag be implanted in a person’s body to track his every movement? There’s actual discussion about that. You will rule on that –mark my words—before your tenure is over.”U.S. Sen. Joseph Biden, asked during Senate Judiciary Committee hearings on the nomination of John Roberts to be chief justice of the Supreme Court.

“We can take proteins, real biological machines, and make them part of a working microelectronic circuit.” –Aleksandr Noy, scientist at Univ. of California Merced, co-author of ACS Nano Letters

The source of the two quotes above is from the book “Forbidden Gates” by Tom and Nita Horn, published in 2010. The subject and subheading is “How genetics, robotics, artificial intelligence, synthetic biology, nanotechnology, and human enhancement herald the Dawn of Techno-Dimensional Spiritual Warfare and includes this scenario from Nita: “She asked if the biblical mark of the Beast might be a conspiracy employing specific implantable technology only now available. Her theory was gripping. An occult elite operating behind the U.S. government devises a virus that is a crossover between human and animal disease –let’s say, an entirely new and highly contagious influenza mutation [supposing the 2010 publication was directly referencing the H5N1/H1N1 ‘event’ over years 2005-2009] –and intentionally releases it into the public. A pandemic ensues, and the period between when a person contracts the virus and death is something like like ten days. With tens of thousands dead in a few weeks and the rate of death increasing hourly around the globe, a universal cry for a cure goes out. Seemingly miraculously, the government then steps forward with a vaccine. The only catch…given the nature of the animal-human flu, the ‘cure’…rewrites one’s genetics so that the person is no longer entirely human…[and by] receiv[ing] this antidote would become part ‘beast’…thus…’Mark of the Beast’

At the time of reading Forbidden Gates, shortly after publication, it was with full awareness that a bioinformatics database called BEAST already existed. It’s in the flu notes, posted on this blog. Biblical ‘scripting’ is, to me, the ominous and perversely-expressed harbinger of the spiritual warfare reality.

As far as I’m concerned, a mass of human tagging began with the 1950s polio vaccines and the introduction of the monkey virus ‘contaminant’ SV40, simian virus #40, in the Salk and Sabin formulas. It’s not a gift of altruism that ongoing worldwide polio vaccination has been the goal of Bill Gates and the foundation, though current vaccines are SV40 free. The theory is basically this: Post-Hiroshima biological surveillance and data collection was mandated to the medical team of the Atomic Bomb Casualty Commission (ABCC) on the suggestion of 100 years duration. A multigenerational biological tag was the only means then available, lacking nano-device alternatives, and its expected implementation was imminent after 1950 when the ABCC organized for its longterm assignments. Nuclear testing, which began in Nevada in 1951, expanded the mandate to the U.S. population and beyond. Polio-vaxxed Boomers and their descendents are a potentially trackable demographic. Some military-use nonpolio vaccines of the era also contained SV40. Adding to this view is code for the infective SV40 particle, the T-antigen short form –T-ag.  Tag, really. Is that nerd humor?, an ominous and perversely-expressed harbinger?— or just in-your-face who-doo for future surveillance in ABCC’s project management? The ABCC, of course, is long defunct, but SV40 rages on, fascinating as a subject in the development of  biotech. For now, as a model of tagging derived entirely by my own thoughts on it, I’m going with ‘in your face’ and on the hook. The journey of SV40 through research labs as a ‘recombinant’ gene factor parallels the growth of the biotech industry.

Who owns your DNA? According to Claire Cummings 2008 book, Uncertain Peril, “Twenty percent of the DNA in the human body is now patented. Many of the genes in your body are already owned by someone else, most likely a pharmaceutical company or an institution. The Regents of the University of California, for instance, own eighty-nine human genes.” –p75, ibid.  Little doubt attends my speculation that an increase in holdings over the last decade put aggregate institutional ownership of human DNA at or near a  majority of stock—live stock. Somehow, between the first successful 1980 “patent on life” case for a genetically-engineered bacterium and the present, ownership of your essential constituents have been transferred to private parties. Quantitatively speaking, only about 10% of ‘you’ is human anyway, long provoking the question of “what is human?” and, by extension, “what is ‘yours’ and ‘not yours’?,” and “when does ‘yours’ become ‘not yours’?”

So far, every time I check into it, the human DNA legal trend is “not yours” and when applied to medical treatment definitely “not yours.” The immune system wrestles with this every day, tasking “self” and “not self,” so I’ll try to work out a parallel here.

In the meantime, an example of “not yours”:  “…when the Supreme Court ruled on the [patent] case of Ananda Mohan Chakrabarty, a scientist working at General Electric who’d created a bacterium genetically engineered to consume oil and help clean up oil spills…[his] lawyers argued that since normal bacteria don’t consume oil, Chakrabarty’s bacteria weren’t naturally occurring –they only existed because he’d altered them using ‘human ingenuity.’ Chakrabarty’s victory opened up the possibility of patenting other living things, including genetically modified animals and cell lines, which didn’t occur naturally outside the body. And patenting cell lines didn’t require informing or getting permission from the ‘cell donors.’ “   The bold-type emphasis is my addition to the words of Rebecca Skloot from the book ‘The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks’ whose cervical cancer tumor specimens became the famous ‘immortal’ HeLa cell line in 1951.  Skloot mentions another cell line called ‘Mo,’ harvested by a UCLA doctor in 1976 from the abnormal spleen of a patient named John Moore who suffered from hairy-cell leukemia. “A normal spleen weighs less than a pound; Moore’s weighed twenty-two.” –p199  Some years later, during his ongoing medical follow-up which involved long distance travel to UCLA, Moore’s suspicion was aroused when he attempted to change the arrangements of his medical visits to be closer to home. Accompanying offers of plane tickets and a stay at the Beverly Wiltshire hotel, was  “a  new consent form that said: ‘ I (do, do not) voluntarily grant to the University of California all rights I, or my heirs, may have in any cell line or any other potential product… developed from the blood and/or bone marrow obtained from me.’ “   He circled ‘do’ but at his next visit when the consent form was presented again he circled ‘do not’ and soon learned that ‘Mo’ was reaping a windfall. In 1984 Moore filed suit against the physician and UCLA. His doctor, patent in hand, stood to personally gain $3.5 million from the cell line which “at that point [had] its market value estimated to be $3 billion…  Scientists are quick to point out that John Moore’s cells were exceptional, and few cell lines are actually worth patenting. Moore’s cells produced rare proteins that pharmaceutical companies could use to treat infections and cancer. They also carried a rare virus called HTLV…which researchers hoped to use to create a vaccine that could stop the AIDS epidemic. Because of this, drug companies were willing to pay enormous sums to work with his cells.” –pp201-202, ibid.

Moore lost on the first round, then appealed in 1988 and won. His doctor subsequently appealed and won the ‘right to use patient tissues’ and finally “Nearly seven years after Moore originally filed suit, the Supreme Court of California ruled against him in what became the definitive statement on this issue: When tissues are removed from your body, with or without your consent, any claim you might have had to owning them vanishes… [The court] said that ruling in Moore’s favor might ‘destroy the economic incentive to conduct important medical research,’ and that giving patients property rights in their tissues might ‘hinder research by restricting access to the necessary raw materials’…” –p205, The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, by Rebecca Skloot, 2010

The roots of this blog are mentioned in a post called “A Few Words About the Agenda” from November 2009:

“….I started this blog in July09 in the midst of a “pandemic” that is not happening because of a deep foreboding that the Controls being sought are nearly in hand. There is no rational/logical explanation for things like mandatory vaccines, forced healthcare, carbon-footprint permits and the like when it flies in the face of experiential science. What else can it be but the consolidation of the Plan? Every article here in my blog is telling an aspect of this story; One story about One World, where everything coalesces under…the oligarchy…[until] they own you… In ‘their’ future.. ‘we’ are to be made less than fully human to eliminate their competition…  today achievable in physical fact.  How will we be ‘less than human’ –perhaps by becoming programmable DNA computers. Take a look:

…. The impetus in DNA computing, according to Ehud Shapiro of the Weizmann Institute speaking in 2003, is to find a “molecule that can recognize, cut and join DNA sequences in specific ways”, what he suggests will be “designer enzymes…that can do things and go to places that silicon can’t –such as inside our cells to make and control drugs.” . Phage and virus already do this naturally –enter our cells and install a program– so the question is begging about the ability of virus-like ‘nano-machines’ harnessed for the activity of synthesizing specific enzymes to run an assembly program. If you were going to ‘assemble’ a DNA computer capable of replicating and replacing its own parts, wouldn’t the ideal machine have an immortal and unlimited source of those parts? Cancer cells are just such an immortal cellular anomaly. A pharmaceutical-generating program that can control cancer cells in the self-performance of chemotherapy has the capacity I would think of becoming an immortal DNA computer, capable of [reproducing] itself with endless ‘perfect copies’ while keeping the overproduction of those cells in check…  Cancer cells may become the needed raw material for constructing immortal bio-bot computers. The staggering potential of DNA computing forecast by Leonard Adleman is that “One gram of DNA can store as much information as a trillion compact discs”. “What’s more”, states the text of the USC webpages above, “myriad DNA molecules can examine every possible [pathway] at once, rather than one at a time as in a conventional computer”. With this much incredible promise, is it likely that the DNA computing science would take a backseat? If I’m on the right track with this projection, a lot of agendas appear to be satisfied. I’m over my head here…  Explanations for the presence of sophisticated and nano-sized materials in food, vaccines and chemtrails are not forthcoming and yet they are turning up in products of every description. At the atomic level, organic, inorganic and cellular materials have new and different properties, most informative of which comes from electrochemical experiments.  As in the past, this new technical platform will be maximally spun-off and exploited in some ultimate pursuit of global mastery… Our bodies will become factories for their bio-bots.

2004– “Recently, simple molecular-scale autonomous programmable computers were demonstrated… allowing both input and output… Such computers, using biological molecules as input data and biologically active molecules as output, could produce a system for ‘logical’ control of biological processes… As proof of principle, we programmed the computer to identify and analyze mRNA of disease-related genes associated with models of…cancer, and to produce a single-stranded DNA molecule modelled after an anticancer drug.”

”The goal of the government should be one level of health for all the people” —Florence Mahoney, 1965, reference on p209 of Noble Conspirator, Florence S. Mahoney and the Rise of the National Institutes of Health, by Judith Robinson, 2001

This quote is but one of the select bolshevist utterances of the incomparable ‘health’ lobbyist Mrs. Mahoney. Her principal endeavors focused on population control, mental health treatment and social engineering. The span of her nationally influential activity ranged from the 1940s to the ‘90s and “by the year 2000, the National Institutes of Health had become indisputably the world’s leading research entity across the spectrum of biomedicine.” –271, ibid.

The 2009 H1N1 pandemic-that-wasn’t brought in the government initiative called One Medicine, a cooperative paramilitary organization enlisting MDs and DVMs to jointly respond to public health issues. In essence, the One Medicine goal is to devise common protocols of treatment for humans and animals –symbolically, if not actually, leveling the livestock. In biotechnology this is possible because of  genetic ‘homology’, the cross-species similitude of gene chemistry. In natural settings, homology in viruses, viral vectors and host receptors leads to transmission –and in the case of infectious transmission from animals to humans, known as ‘zoonosis’ (zoh-ahn’-nah-sis). I’ll have to check if ‘humanosis’ or ‘homonosis’ is in the lexicon yet. We’re certainly making the animals we love and depend on very sick with ‘public health’ protocols.

Any government that determines the nature of my human physical matter, whether inside or outside the body, to be “raw material” for “important” economic exploit represents neither myself nor the authority to which I submit.

Industrial GMOs have a running track record in agriculture, the subject of Uncertain Peril, sufficiently parallel in models of business and ethics to apply to human engineering. I put in the bracketed [noun] substitutions to make a point:

“There are five solid reasons that genetic engineering is not right for agriculture [medicine]. One: it’s bad science. It was developed on the basis of flawed assumptions which have since been discredited by the scientific community. Two: it’s bad biology. It was deployed without regard for its potential for genetic contamination and risks to human health. Three: it’s bad social policy. It puts control over seeds [medical treatment] and the fundamentals of our food and farms [healthcare] into the hands of a few corporations who have their own, not our, best interests in mind. Four: it’s bad economics. After billions of dollars and thirty [now forty and more] years, only a few products have been commercialized, and they offer nothing new. No one asked for genetically modified organisms (GMOs), and given a choice, consumers would reject them. Five: it’s bad farming [healthcare]. GMOs don’t address the real issues plaguing agriculture [humans]; they’re designed to substitute for or increase the use of proprietary weed and pest [drug] control chemicals. Patented and genetically altered seeds [pharmaceuticals] perpetuate the very worst problems of the industrial food [health] system, and they are undermining the autonomy of the farmers [doctors] who use them.”

Underlying Causes and Coronavirus

‘You Are What You Eat’ was a government information campaign of the 1970s when biotech was gaining ground in agriculture. The learning program put an emphasis on the benefits of whole grain –certain of which are the gluten/gliadin containing wheat, rye, and barley which we now know compromise the blood-brain barrier, as the glyphosate (Round-up, Agent Orange) herbicide then being introduced compromises the gut by inducing lesions. (That’s subject for another post). The point here is that my earlier influenza research demonstrated that the microbiologists of the last century discovered toxic gut bacteria in the lungs of flu patients, determining it to be the cause of respiratory infection.

Plus this: “…In this account of the discovery of influenza [virus, c1933], researchers at ”Mill Hill” near London accidently infected their lab ferrets with their own flu. [humanosis?] At the time they were experimenting with ‘distemper’, developing a vaccine for the flu-like illness in dogs.”   –see the margin list for “Influenza Special”. If there’s a relationship of gut bacteria to respiratory infection in dogs, I didn’t look for it then, but the common viral agent of contagious gastroenteritis in dogs is coronavirus.  From the Merck Veterinary Manual, 1991 edition: “Coronaviral Gastroenteritis, A highly contagious GI disease of dogs of any age… Canine Coronavirus (CCV) is an enveloped, single-stranded RNA virus antigenically related to the feline coronaviruses (feline infectious peritonitis virus and feline enteric coronavirus) and to transmissible gastroenteritis virus of pigs… Lesions in experimental infections usually are not severe…[but] Naturally occurring cases, especially those with mixed infections, can have severe lesions with frank hemorrhage in the intestinal mucosa…” The 1991 Merck Vet. lists only four species with economically significant coronavirus problems: dogs, cats, pigs and turkeys, but if there are clues in microbe-hunting about CoV transmission, mixed-infections, and treatment, the recommended treatment for Kennel Cough in dogs is vaccines for distemper and parainfluenza (or paramyxovirus infection, PMV) –respiratory infection in turkeys, “which suggests the respiratory tract may be the initial site of infection.” –p1564, ibid.  Bird flu? Do turkeys cough? “The transmission between turkeys is unclear,” so I’ll let that go for the time being. However, turkeys take a wallop with coronavirus! “Coronaviral Enteritis of Turkeys: An acute, highly contagious disease of turkeys characterized by sudden onset… Mortality may be high… The causative agent is a coronavirus, but the clinical disease is complicated by other intestinal viral and bacterial infections… Cold weather, especially freezing, increases survival of the virus.” –p1554.  We’re being told that too, yes? Must be One Medicine on the job. No vaccine for turkeys, says Merck…just quarantine, social distancing, disinfection…  A little global warming would be handy.

A  very different outcome of coronavirus in pigs is the ‘causal agent’ of a frightful disease called ‘vomiting and wasting disease’ (VWD), otherwise known as Coronaviral  hemagglutinating encephalomyelitis virus (HEV) –a brain infection—where “Neonatal pigs become dehydrated, cyanotic, comatose and die…[If] the virus enters a susceptible herd with neonatal piglets, morbidity and mortality may be high… Replication first takes place in the nasal mucosa, tonsils, lungs, and to a very limited extent, in the small intestine [after spread by aerosol]. From these sites of entry, the virus invades…the peripheral nervous system and subsequently spreads to the entire brain stem…” –pp388-389, ibid. I’m posting this not to scare you but to show a greater range of coronavirus. In North America, western Europe, and Australia, where HEV occurs, “Pigs are the only natural host.” This is the kind of information that provokes my attention for bioweapon potential –but ‘bioweapon’ within the meme of low-intensity conflict scenarios. Our ‘common cold’ coronavirus is everywhere.

Turn back the clock for a minute on the official U.S. response to SARS in May 2003:

…”Thank you, Mr. Chairman and members of the Committee. I am Jerome M. Hauer*, Acting Assistant Secretary for Public Health Emergency Preparedness. I appreciate this opportunity to share our Department’s response to the SARS virus within the context of public health emergency preparedness… we have reason to be encouraged by the response to SARS for several reasons. First, the identification of the agent that causes the disease was completed in record time. CDC identified the coronavirus within a few short weeks of receiving the first specimens… We are partnering with industry to organize a full-court press on vaccine development… The Command Center maps the distribution of SARS cases across the globe with geographic information system software for use during our planning discussions. The Command Center did not exist a year ago – it became operational last November [2002]… I recently co-chaired a meeting of the Council of Governments with Mike Byrne of the Department of Homeland Security to bring together health professionals from across the national capital region to aggressively prepare for an outbreak of the SARS virus here… the Department is implementing an aggressive research and development program to develop and acquire biological, chemical, nuclear and radiological countermeasures… The most exciting news in the R&D arena is, of course, Project BioShield, announced by the President on February 3, 2003.”

*Jerome Hauer, you may remember, was on hand for commentary to major NYC TV media the morning of 9-11, providing the tip that ‘Osama bin Laden’ did it. Hauer was then an officer of New York’s emergency operations center and pKroll security, but his earlier career was in bioweaponry. He directed the neighborhood pesticide-spraying campaign against West Nile Virus when it emerged in NYC in 1999.

To our sorrow, the legal decoupling of “healthcare” from the biotech industry never happened. It could have, should have, happened long ago in the 1950s and ‘60s amidst the Cold War when advancing biotechnology was pressing countermeasures (like Hauer’s B-C-R protocols) into military operations. The subsequent infiltration and takeover of biotech in medicine forces the euphemism of “healthcare” with the still added integration of I.T. –Information Technology. As I see it, all a very advanced and comprehensive outcome of radiation biology, the mother of modern genetics.

In June of 2013, Justice Clarence Thomas (former Monsanto lawyer) wrote the decision on human DNA for the US Supreme Court that, “We hold that a naturally occurring DNA segment is a product of nature and not patent eligible merely because it has been isolated,” following more than forty years of neglect while the industry flourished. At stake was the monopolization of a natural gene by one patent holder, able to control its use in research and medicine. The decision opened the pool and, interpreted by the industry, “also said that synthetic genetic material could be patented” –synthetic human DNA. Four years before this decision, August 2009, I posted “Fabricating DNA Evidence” quoting “Scientists in Israel have demonstrated that it is possible to fabricate DNA evidence…if they have access to a DNA profile in a database… without obtaining any tissue from [a] person. ‘You can just engineer a crime scene,’ said [Dr.] Dan Frumkin… ’Any biology undergraduate could perform this.”

“Synthetic biology is unregulated and self-governing. No one knows what could occur when synthetic organisms are intentionally and unintentionally let loose into the environment. Creating genes that don’t exist in nature is a dangerous business and there is no way to predict how they will behave in living systems.” –p266, Foodopoly, 2012, by Wenonah Hauter (Food & Water Watch)

So, while I’m ‘CoVing-in’ with extra spare time, I’m dwelling on the tagging, tracking, and surveillance milieu of our present situation juxtaposed with notions of human rights because biotechnology is rewriting the genes of our Constitution and incapacitating the judgements therefrom:

FYI, The Human Rights which we extend around the globe, and teach to students of ‘public health’, “include but transcend the conventional classes of human rights…in a remarkable variety of international human rights and humanitarian laws… Never before…has there been such universal recognition of the claim that everyone…is entitled to rights—in particular, what have been aptly called ‘life integrity rights.’ These include the right to life, the right to personal inviolability—not to be hurt; the right to be free of arbitrary seizure, detention, and punishment; the freedom to own one’s body and labor; the right to free movement without discrimination; and the right to create and cohabit with family.” –p39, War and Public Health, 2000 updated ed., editors Levy and Sidel.

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all [mankind] are created equal; that they are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights… [and] that whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or abolish it… Prudence, indeed, will dictate that governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly, all experience hath shown, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms of government to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object, evinces a design to reduce them under absolute despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such government and to provide new guards for their future security. The history of the present… is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having, in direct object, the establishment of an absolute tyranny… To prove this, let facts be submitted to a candid world…” A Declaration by the Representatives of the United States of America… July 4, 1776

JFK File: The Fallout Babies

April 13, 2012

“There are many actual cyborgs among us in society. Anyone with an artificial organ, limb or supplement (like a pacemaker), anyone reprogrammed to resist disease (immunized) or drugged to think/behave/feel better (psychopharmacology) is technically a cyborg… there is no consensus on what a cyborg is… Many see..Frankenstein’s creature as the first cyborg… ” –Chris Gray, p2, The Cyborg Handbook
“A cyborg, short for “cybernetic organism”, is a being with both biological and artificial (e.g. electronic, mechanical or robotic) parts. The term was coined in 1960 when Manfred Clynes and Nathan S. Kline used it in an article about the advantages of self-regulating human-machine systems in outer space….  the term “Cybernetic organism” has been applied to networks, such as road systems, corporations and governments, which have been classed as such. The term can also apply to micro-organisms which are modified to perform at higher levels than their unmodified counterparts…
“The concept of a man-machine mixture was widespread in science fiction before World War II…
The term [cyborg] first appears in print [in 1960]..when The New York Times reported on the Psychophysiological Aspects of Space Flight Symposium where Clynes and Kline first presented their paper;
A cyborg is essentially a man-machine system in which the control mechanisms of the human portion are modified externally by drugs or regulatory devices so that the being can live in an environment different from the normal one.” — Clynes and Kline, 1960
Manfred Clynes and Nathan S. Kline:
Altering  man’s bodily functions to meet the requirements of extraterrestrial environments  would be more logical than providing an earthly environment for him in space… This self-regulation must function without the benefit of consciousness in order to cooperate with  the body’s own autonomous homeostatic controls…
…While it is quite difficult to set upper limits to ‘natural’ human physiological and psychological  performance, we can take as minimal the capabilities demonstrated under control conditions such as yoga or hypnosis. The imagination is stretched by the  muscular control of which even the undergraduate at a Yoga College is capable,  and hypnosis per se may prove to have a definite place in space travel, although  there is much to be learned about the phenomena of disassociation,  generalization of instructions, and abdication of executive control.
We are now working on a new  preparation which may greatly enhance hypnotizability, so that pharmacological  and hypnotic approaches may be symbiotically combined.
Wakefulness… The extension of normal functioning through the use of that group of drugs known  as psychic energizers, with adjunctive medication, for this purpose is a  present-day reality…
Radiation  Effects. One  subsystem of the Cyborg would involve a sensor to detect radiation levels and an  adaptation of the Rose osmotic pump which would automatically inject protective  pharmaceuticals in appropriate doses. Experiments at the AF School of Aviation  Medicine already indicate an increase in radiation resistance resulting from  combined administration of aminoethylisothioronium and cysteine to monkeys.
Metabolic..Controls. In the case of prolonged space flight…food — poses a  major problem. During a flight of a year Or longer… Hypothermia  (reduction of body temperature) would appear to be a desirable state in such  long voyages in order to reduce metabolism, and thus human “fuel” consumption… The use of.. hibernation (through pituitary control), alone or in  combination with pharmaceuticals, all seem to offer possibilities in attempting  to obtain and maintain such a state…
Enzyme  Systems. Under  conditions of lowered body temperature, certain enzyme systems would tend to  remain more active than others. The extent to which pharmaceutical or chemical  agents could influence this enzyme activity has not been systematically  investigated, but beyond question they will play an important role. Since  metabolism is subject to enzyme control, several intriguing possibilities exist.  For example, it may be possible through in vitro radiation to convert certain  organisms from aerobic to anaerobic states and, by studying changes in the  enzyme systems, to adapt them for eventual human use
Psychoses. Despite all the care exercised,  there remains a strong possibility that somewhere in the course of a long space  voyage a psychotic episode might occur, and this is one condition for which no  servomechanism can be completely designed at the present time. While an  emergency osmotic pump containing one of the high-potency phenothiazines  together with reserpine could be a part of the complete space man’s kit, the  frequent denial by an individual undergoing a psychotic episode that his thought  processes, emotions, or behavior are abnormal, might keep him from voluntarily  accepting medication. For this reason, if monitoring is adequate, provision  should be made for triggering administration of the medication remotely from  earth
Current development in “remote medicine”:
May, 2012: [Nature magazine] “Researchers have remotely activated genes inside living animals, a proof of concept that could one day lead to medical procedures in which patients’ genes are triggered on demand.”
“Some laboratory mice were given specially engineered insulin-producing genes. These genes were then remotely activated using radio waves. This could mean a whole new field of medical proceedures in which we turn genes on and off at will. This breakthrough is the work of geneticists at New York’s Rockefeller University… Admittedly..the researchers did first have to inject some nanoparticles onto the mice’s cells in order to affect their genes…
“The radio waves are ideal for this sort of remote manipulation because they can pass through thick layers of tissue, and they can be easily focused…
Even better, the researchers have already developed a way to achieve similar, albeit weaker, results without having to inject nanoparticles at all. They have developed cells that can grow their own required nanoparticles… However, as Nature explains, this would still require growing tumors inside humans to actually get these cell cultures in place, which means the treatment isn’t yet ethically permissible in humans.”
Manfred Clynes interviewed by cyborgologist Chris Hables Gray [published in The Cyborg Handbook, 1995]:
CHG: Why exactly did you guys decide to write about space travel?
MC: Nathan Kline was the director of this research facility there at the Rockland State Hospital and one day somebody asked him… Dr. Kline was interested in the application of drugs for the treatment of mental patients.
CHG: Yes, psychopharmacology
MC: Psychopharmacology. This man, I think Flaherty…
CHG: Yeah, he was with NASA.
MC:..invited him to write something for us at NASA. So, he talked to me and said, ‘Would you like to write something jointly with me? I will write about the drugs and you write about other physiologic systems.’ I said, ‘What do I know about this? I know nothing.’ Anyhow we agreed… And I coined this word cyborg…
CHG: I noticed you used the term participant evolution in that article.
MC: Yes. In other words man has now become conscious enough of the way he was built physiologically…that he could now supplement the homeostasis with which he evolved… So as to supplement it by his own imagination and through his own creativity…to simply allow him to make use of his faculties…
…I have to criticize a little what seems to be a great lack of appreciation of molecular biology among cyborg studies. The great things that are happening today in the scientific world are advances in molecular biology along with computers. Those are the two regions of our scientific world that are growing very rapidly, and compared to them psychology is dead in the water completely.
It is already known that the emotional world of men is fashioned through molecules like neuropeptides… These peptides have receptors scattered throughout the brain..[and] it is known that the emotional world can be affected now by designer molecules. That’s where the computers and molecular biology will intermarry… computer-designed molecules..that will naturally work inside the brain and will be able to change the emotional aspects.
…They continually are making gene products, some are turned off, some are turned on…So that by controlling and knowing how to control the natural products, and turning the genes on and off, we will have tremendous power to change the emotional world of man.
…Evolution is more than survival of the fittest. And participant evolution can…probably improve the qualities of life more effectively..than by just waiting for the less fit to become extinct.” [pp46-53]
Cyborg Ethics
C.H. Gray poses the question, “Could there be a cyborg ethics? Yes, we think so. And not just one. Several systems are implicitly elaborated in the pages [of The Cyborg Handbook]… David Channel has elaborated what he calls a ‘bionic’ ethic: ‘A bionic ethic must take into consideration both the mechanical and the organic aspects of the cybernetic ecology in order to maintain the system’s integrity, stability, diversity and purposefulness. Neither the mechanical nor the organic can be allowed to bring about the extinction of the other.’ (The Vital Machine, p154).” [p12]
For the Human Materials Industry generated by “patient care”, the ethic is described:

When it appears that a patient will become brain-dead, a change in medical routines occurs. Care of the patient as a whole being becomes care of biological materials contained within and the technological components that convert them into useable products. There are two parts to the process; the maintenance of the body as incubator and storage container for the human materials, and the preservation and conversion of the specific materials themselves. It is important to note that this process can begin long before the patient is declared legally dead…
“Once the brain ceases to function…the body is no longer a self-regulating system… Cyborg mechanics must replace brain functions…
“Recognizing the considerable market potential of the human materials industry, pharmaceutical and medical supply companies have developed new products and entire new industries… The goals of these new products are to preserve tissue integrity before being removed, and to make the materials more ‘immunologically silent’ to prevent problems later when they are replaced inside another body. In essence, the human materials are being structurally, chemically and functionally transformed to make them more universal. In this way, they become not only substitutable mechanical parts, but more like off-the-shelf reagents, available for use in a variety of end-users.” [p208]
This is possible in a late-capitalist age in which commodification has reached into hithertofore unimaginable realms of life. However it meant that ideas about the boundaries of the body as well as boundaries between human and nonhuman had to change… new social interventions were required. The first and most important was a new definition of ‘death’. The cessation of brain now accepted as the legal and medical category ‘death’…Brain death allows the suspension of time, which in turn allows cultural and bodily processes to be fragmented and reconfigured. Significantly, it allows the process to be staged by biomedical ‘managers’ and experts… this medical-legal construction left us with an even more ambiguous entity; the ‘living cadaver’. In attempting to reduce ambiguity, it is necessary to deconstruct the subject (the person), and reconstruct an object (the production unit)… Throughout the process, cultural meanings must be stripped from the person. Identity must be erased… While these processes can be called social technologies, the core technologies used..are chemical and mechanical. Through these, the physical body is reprogrammed and retooled for new uses…” [p206]
While it may be true that many of us are living in cyborg societies, we have to remember that those are also plural societies… Future cyborg studies will hopefully attend to cultural beliefs and practices, and the ways in which they are transformed and transforming. Studying cyborgs and their social relations means not only learning where and how bodies exist in relation to machines, but also what types of bodies they are, and where they are situated. As Stone (1994) has pointed out, bodies and communities constitute each other. [p215]

The Walker Lake Dome Project, built by Universal Yoyodyne and announced on March 30, 2012, intends to enclose the town of Westwood, California, in the volcanic northeast region of the state.;  “Interestingly, Westwood had a very large indoor shopping mall as far back as the 1930s, as well as a large theater, skating rink and club for the mill workers. The town was sold in 1944 to the Fruit Growers Supply Company, today known as part of Sunkist… The [2010] Census reported that 1,647 people (100% of the population) lived in households..and 0 (0%) were institutionalized.”,_California

“The company plans on using the town as a proving ground for technology that might one day enclose major U.S. cities, especially those prone to weather related disasters…”

Sunkist Growers, Inc  “is the largest fresh produce shipper in the United States, the most diversified citrus processing and marketing operation in the world, and one of California’s largest land-owners.”; “[Albert D.] Lasker is largely responsible for America’s infatuation with orange juice. Lord & Thomas acquired the Sunkist Growers, Incorporated account in 1908, when Lasker was 28…”  Formerly timberland harvested for Sunkist packing boxes, the Westwood area and other lumber centers are now managed forests:

THRIVE or Threat

This is a “notebook” post on content and background of the film THRIVE, released on 11-11-11 to the internet.
Executive producer and screen host Foster Gamble
Did the Universe labor for nearly fourteen billion years only to bring forth a species that would end up as an enemy to Life itself, and to its own home? I don’t think so… I’ve spent nearly a lifetime trying to figure out what happened… driven by the misery I saw and by my fear for our survival
Is it even possible for humans to thrive? If so, why aren’t we?”
I believe this Code holds a key to a new source of clean, sustainable Energy that could completely revolutionize the way all people live.”
I have realized WE are not a mistake. WE are simply mistaken.”
“..all that is about to change
After a lifetime quest, I’ve come to believe that this pattern actually holds the key to a world that works for everyone
This vision was what originally got me into science, trying to figure out how the Universe works…”
Considering the enduring wonders of Creation throughout the Universe and how unsustainable so many of our human systems are, I figured that learning how…would actually be quite useful.”
The Torus is like the breath of the Universe.. at every scale of existence… I spent decades researching… I became so excited by the potential of the toroidal energy form… Our collected research convinced me that the Torus and the Vector Equilibrium are primary creating the Universe…”
“Given that so much of the suffering in our world is the result of lack of access to Energy, I realized that Free, unlimited clean energy would be one of the greatest breakthroughs in history.”
Throughout the long introduction to Thrive, Gamble uses Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) techniques called lost performatives and presuppositions: “Lost performatives are when someone is talking about a personal belief, but presents it as though it was a universal truth. We then accept it as true without questioning it as we would if we heard it as someone’s personal opinion.”
“A presupposition is an innocent sounding statement that can only be understood  if certain facts or ideas are accepted as being true.”
THRIVE, in fact, is loaded with hypnotic speech patterns:
Cause and Effect patterns, embedded commands, presuppositions, syntactic ambiguity and lost performatives.
“In hypnotic language there are mixed messages that you can use to communicate on  multiple levels. The reason why you want to do that is because you still want to  entertain and distract the conscious mind, so that you’re free to work with the  subconscious mind… Then there are anticipation builders. Do you want to motivate and drive people  to take a certain kind of action?… There’s a lot more to hypnotic language patterns than what I can cover in this short  article. There are embedded commands, hypnotic words, nested loops, action  accelerators, and a lot more.”
Enter the ETs. The first 45 minutes of THRIVE are actually devoted to ‘proving’ the existence of extraterrestrials.
In the words of Dr. Steven Greer, founder of CSETI, They have mastered the Laws of the be able to transfer through Space-Time in Real Time, through the vastnesses of interstellar space.” (The image provided is that of a UFO, captioned “UFO..measures 2-3 miles wide”.) Greer continues, “We have over 4,000 cases where these objects have landed on terra firma, left physical evidence– we have over 3,500 pilot cases; we have hundreds of cases..where these objects can track on normal radar going tens of thousands of miles per hour or dematerializing and reappearing in another point in the sky.”
Astronaut Edgar Mitchell says, “Yes, there’s been ET visitation, there have been crashed craft, there have been material and bodies recovered.”  A US Army ET Retrieval officer says, “We have CONTACT with aliens, not originating from some foreign country but some other solar system and I have been a party to that.” The audience then hears of how one observer witnessed an encounter between a UFO and a nuclear missile: “Now remember this thing was flying several thousand miles an hour, so this thing fires a beam of light at the warhead –hits it, and then this thing flies up…fires another beam of light; goes around [to the side], fires another beam of light; down like this..fires another beam…flies out the way it came in and the warhead tumbles out of space. The feeling at the time was that it must have been extraterrestrial.”
Next the audience is swept along into the (literal) field of evidence with a sequence of aerial crop circle footage. Gamble’s narration informs us that “More than 5,000 of these patterns have appeared in over 30 countries. Most of them in England.” We are asked to decide if hoaxers with “ropes and boards” could have made them, then shown “One of the most amazing designs [which] is not a circle but a rectangle that seems to be a direct response to a message sent out into space [in 1974]. The message was a radio signal depicting our planet’s location..and Earth’s people…  Twenty-seven years later in 2001, this [rectagular] crop design appeared…[that] matches the format of the NASA signal and describes a different solar system…nonhuman DNA, and a microwave antenna they apparently use…   NASA continues to deny extraterrestrial contact of any kind.”  But Foster Gamble wants THRIVE watchers to know that, “regardless of whoever created them and wherever they’re from, there must be an important purpose to these designs. They’re SO coherent!” He tells us, “I believe that they’re giving us a model for accessing energy in a clean, safe, and limitless way and a new means of propulsion. What more important message could there be to get to us. And especially we’re beginning to extend our careless reach beyond our planet.”
Foster: “So here we are, a relatively immature species struggling with possible self-destruction. If aligning with the Torus does hold the key to a new form of clean, safe energy access, imagine the implications. This could be the most important breakthrough of our times. So who wouldn’t want an energy source that’s freely available? That turned out to be a key question…”
…”One of the scientists we were going to interview for this film was Dr. Eugene Mallove… Dr. Mallove was mysteriously beaten to death in 2004…
Kimberly: ..”So much of the pain on the planet has to do with the lack of access to energy… If there is a fundamental pattern, which makes sense to me…and we can align with that pattern to create new technologies that will solve these problems, then it’s worth it for me to open my mind to these socially taboo subjects.”
Follow the Money with the Gambles: “energy corporations…[are] committing huge resources to undermine energy alternatives… They have enough money and influence to suppress anything that might threaten their monopoly.” Foster says, “As I followed the money, I began to see this same pattern of control in every area of our lives and I always saw the same families in charge… I’ve come to an inescapable and profoundly disturbing conclusion: I believe that an elite group of people and the corporations they run have gained control of not just our energy, food supply, education, and healthcare, but virtually over every aspect of our lives.”   He explains,“They call it a Corporatocracy.”
Viewers get a lesson in Fractional Reserve Banking from Foster Gamble and David Icke. Then the bombshells start to fall. Everybody who watched THRIVE with me forgets this by the end: Icke–“No matter where you go in the world, the money is controlled by the banking system. They decide if people eat or they don’t eat...”
Foster Gamble–“My research led me to believe that the same people who created the Federal Reserve; the Rothschilds, the Rockefellers and the Morgans, still control it…  I kept running across compelling evidence and credible experts saying that the secret agenda of the banking elite is nothing less than total global domination… what would they need to accomplish it?… I started making a list. First and foremost, they’d have to control money, and they do… Controlling money allows them to run everything else. They’d need to control energy, and they do. They already control Big Agriculture and World Trade. They’re buying up water supplies worldwide. They’ve got Health in their pocket and they’re trying to suppress natural alternatives. Mainly they’d have to control what information we get and how we’d react to it… For complete domination, dissent has to be controlled. They’d need to take away our rights, spy on ordinary citizens and track every aspect of our lives.” –the screen image goes down the list, check, check, check!– “I knew that a powerful elite had almost everything set up to rule the world and I had the frightening realization that Big Brother is not coming –he’s HERE NOW! We are already in the Matrix…  I believe we’re heading toward a totalitarian World Authority –actually a military dictatorship run by a tiny elite who have all the power and make all the rules. If they succeed, there’ll be nowhere to run and nowhere to hide. Think about it.
Their grand strategy for Global Dominance is already being implemented; they’re carving up the world into Superstates that transcend national boundaries so that we are easier for them to manage. They have already established the European Union and the African Union. Politicians from the United States, Canada and Mexico, under the title of the Security and Prosperity Partnership, have been working on the northern part of what could arguably be called plans for an American Union. This has been going on for years without citizen or congressional consent. A Pacific Union is already in process. This is the organizational chart for global tyranny, the structure for complete control [shows structure]. Here are two of the most powerful men in Europe talking about moving to a single World Government:
[Jean-Claude Trichet speaking]: ‘It’s extremely important that We, in this new ownership of global governance, have particularly on both sides of the Atlantic the implementation of the same rules in the same fashion.
[EU president Herman Van Rompuy speaking]: ‘2009 is also the first year of global governance with the establishment of the G20 in the middle of the financial crisis.’
Foster Gamble comes back with, “Like many people, I thought a conspiracy for global domination could not really work because basically people are just not that competent… Still, I wondered how something that is so big and corrupt can be kept secret.”
David Icke: “It’s a simple structure, and if it wasn’t simple it wouldn’t work. It can be likened to a compartmentalized pyramid…” The narration continues: “This kind of compartmentalization explains how the Manhattan Project..was kept secret despite having a hundred and thirty thousand people working on it.”    Kimberly Gamble adds, “Even though we’ve been systematically distracted and repressed, people have come up with innovative and ingenious solutions to a huge number of problems that we face. It’s not our fault that we didn’t recognize how organized and intentional this scheme is…”
Foster Gamble: “In this New World Order of theirs, a tiny number of people would exercise total control over the lives of everyone through a system of intrusive surveillance, violent suppression of dissent and debt-slavery. Imagine tiny islands of opulence surrounded by a sea of misery..[THRIVE shows real images so you don’t have to imagine anything] …I’ve come to believe that their endgame is truly ominous and they will stop at nothing to continue implementing their plan… America represents the major hurdle to consolidation of global power.  If they can succeed at bringing down this country, I believe the international elite intend to transfer the power and productivity of Americans to their One World dictatorship… They’ve got us so in debt we can never repay it; they’re collapsing the dollar…”
David Icke: “[They] want to change society in a way that you know that if you do it’re gonna get an adverse reaction. So you don’t do it openly. You play ‘Problem, Reaction, Solution’. Stage One, you create a problem… You tell the people your version of A)Who Did It, and B) Why… [The] mainstream media is a public relations office for the official version of events… Stage the reaction of outrage… Stage Three..openly offer the solutions to the problem they have themselves created.”
Foster Gamble: “The idea of using tragedy, manufactured or simply utilized, was deeply significant in my finally understanding how far these people will go to achieve their goals.”
Foster Gamble: ” Most of what is needed for a Police State is actually already in place. Right now in America, any of us can be imprisoned without warning or due cause, and we can be kidnapped, tortured or assassinated legally if the government decides that what we are doing is a threat to their plan. All they have to do is name us as a suspect in their so-called War on Terror. We’re being watched more and more. In 2010 there were 30 million surveillance cameras recording us in the U.S. alone… Every phonecall and email we send is collected and archived and can be inspected at any time. Our..licenses and passports have computer chips implanted in them to track our every move. And now hospital patients are getting these same chips implanted under their skin. In fact, it was Proctor and Gamble who developed these chips initially for tracking their products. It’s always offered as a way to help, but even an assistant director of [CIA] has admitted it’s an entry point for…control.
“These would-be controllers, through the U.S. Space Command have outlined a plan called Full Spectrum Dominance;  sophisticated satellite surveillance as well as Directed Energy and laser weapons which are already developed have the ability to target dissenters anywhere on Earth. I believe they’re also trying to ensure they can deal effectively with any resistance. FEMA containment camps and railroad cars with shackles have been recently constructed or refurbished all over the United States…
“There’s one more brutal realization of the Global Domination Agenda that I need to share. This was a horrible one for me to grasp, but without it, this inquiry would be dangerously incomplete… I came across convincing evidence that their plan actually includes the elimination of the majority of the world’s population.  As sick as it sounds, it makes sense… Every time I thought, “They wouldn’t do that!”,  I discovered I was wrong.
Sterilization is one of the many insidious ways this covert plan is implemented… In 2007, the U.S. Department of Agriculture and Homeland Security funded a proposed project to aerial spray over 7 million people in urban areas of northern California. After citizens organized against the plan, officials were forced to reveal that the spray included multiple toxins that can cause disease and disrupt the reproductive cycle… The U.S. government has been caught over 30 times covertly experimenting with toxic chemicals on its own citizens…  Right now, global human fertility is plunging. I’m convinced this is no accident. For me, being willing to consider and research a direct depopulation agenda was critical to my getting the whole picture… This is what depopulation looks like today: [screen image, top to bottom] Toxic food and water, HAARP, pesticides, toxic vaccines, Chemtrails, War, GMO foods, irradiation, [and] man-made pandemics…
I’m convinced I’m not overstating the case… I see nothing less than the struggle for the soul of humanity… Are we humans what the elite would have us believe —stupid, greedy creatures who, if left to our own devices, would devolve into violence and chaos, and so for our own good must be ruled over by a self-appointed elite?”
Foster Gamble continues: “It may seem that the controlling elite has all the cards but we have many advantages of our own. First, let’s talk numbers
The second important that all the power centers that the elite control require our participation…
Let’s take a look at the strategic antidotes to their economic domination…
…I’ve been profoundly influenced by the work of Austrian economist Ludwig von Mises…
…I envision three overlapping Stages of the Solutions process. In Stage One we bring as much integrity as possible to our current systems…
…The TORUS provides a template for a society based on integrity…
If we respond with violence to the Domination agenda…it would only continue the old “us-versus-them” paradigm and provide an excuse for even more Police-State measures. I believe that it’s essential..that we take the path of nonaggression…
I’ve come to recognize that our primary compass is our own inner guidance…the voice that naturally knows and offers wise direction.”
[Thrive guest interview] DEEPAK CHOPRA: ..”we have to start telling a different story to ourselves. We have to start engaging in a different story with others– it’s a collective story that manifests as the world.”
[Thrive guest interview] BARBARA MARX HUBBARD: “If we had the vision and a worldview that says our crisis is a Birth…you could turn this desperate world into a renaissance of human creativity and Love.”
Kimberly Gamble : “Imagine a million of us acting in Unison…imagine even more…
Foster Gamble: “Let me be clear. This is definitely not a Jewish Agenda. It’s been documented that central bankers even funded both sides of World War II… I don’t believe wealth is their End Goal.”

Money has no motherland; financiers are without patriotism and without decency; their sole object is gain.” – Napoleon Bonaparte, 1815

Watch the ‘House of Rothschild’; “The Rothschilds govern a Christian world. Not a cabinet moves without their advice. They stretch their hand with equal ease from Petersburg to Vienna.. to Paris.. to London.. to Washington. Baron Rothschild, the head of the house, is the true King of Judah… the Messiah so long looked for… He holds the keys of peace or war…” [minute 22:22, written in 1835]  “Religion is no longer able to guarantee the governments that the people will remain peaceful. The Rothschild system of loans can perform the task much better… It possesses the moral force or power religion has lost. It can act as a surrogate for religion. Indeed it is a new religion… Strangely enough it is once again the Jews who invented this new religion.” –Heinrich Heine, The Baths of Lucca, 1830 [minute 26]

The cofounders of neurolinguistics:
John T. Grinder; fellowship at Rockefeller University; PhD from the Univ. of California SanDiego (UCSD); professor of linguistics at Univ. of California Santa Cruz (UCSC)
Richard Bandler; Grinder’s student at UCSC
“NLP is a transformational technology. It is an outstanding technique to control and model a human mind and to put it in the fullest potential use… On the basis of their study of 3 chief therapists- Virginia Satir, Fritz Perls and Milton Erickson, Richard and John came out with.. NLP…  It exemplifies the greatest discovery of the 20th Century which is that ‘Change of the self is possible’.”
Together, Grinder and Bandler published two volumes of The Structure of Magic, which analyzes “the langauge skills of the world’s most talented psychotherapists”
Richard Bandler’s website advertises “The effectiveness of my Strategic Mind Messaging™ sessions increases  significantly when combined with the augmented light and sound technology..”
And, while THRIVE is tripping the light fantastic…
some of its guests object to the use of their interviews:
“So—what’s Paul Hawken doing in this movie? I emailed him to find out. He replied he was just as surprised as I was to find out he’s in the film… ‘I did that interview many years prior under false pretenses,’ Hawken replied. ‘I had no idea I was being interviewed for such a movie.‘    …Elisabet Sahtouris said that when she was interviewed for the film, she understood it was to be a very different kind of movie, and is ‘dismayed’..‘I deplore the context in which it was used’… It appears that Hawken and Sahtouris aren’t the only people who regret having appeared in Thrive. In a scathing interview on the Huffington Post, Georgia Kelly of the Praxis Peace Center reports that she has heard from several of other interviewees, none of whom had any idea they were helping to make a libertarian propaganda film.
THRIVE Liberty Section: “Today, involuntary governance is all that exists…  the most important word to guide us to a sustainable civilization – VOLUNTARY …”Liberty thinking is often misunderstood as Utopian – meaning a wishful vision of a world filled with only good, well-intended people where everything just works out. Actually this approach is very practical. It recognizes that there are dangerous people with skewed psyches and destructive intent in any society, so we need to make sure they are not empowered…  With endless local Private security firms in a free society, there would still be well-armed and effective protection forces that could band together..”
THRIVE Art Solution: “The arts attract more visitors, residents, and businesses, which brings more money into the community… In Stage 2, we would work to limit government control and support the arts on our own….The key in this stage is to not suppress the arts in any way. People should be able to express themselves freely.”
>>> Need an Art opinion? Read Lasha Darkmoon
THRIVE Economic Solution: …” we propose temporarily shifting Federal Reserve powers to Congress. Although we do not support more government power in the long run, it seems necessary to restore economic functions to the government”…”In Stage 3 coercive government is dissolved and private voluntary enterprise – including justice, insurance and security –  competes for..potential customers… Establish a truly Free Market: We have never experienced a truly free market without government intervention… …”In Stage 3, state courts would no longer be necessary. To take their place, researcher and host of Freedomain Radio, Stefan Molyneux suggests using Dispute Resolution Organizations (DROs). Each person would have a DRO, similar to an insurance company, to insure their daily activities…”
>>>Need an Economic opinion? Read The Shock Doctrine; Learn about the relationship between Congress and the Federal Reserve and the effect of Ron Paul’s ‘Audit the Fed’ Campaign
Ludwig von Mises was a co-founder of the Mont Pelerin Society in Switzerland; one of its famous students being Milton Friedman of U.Chicago. Friedman helped design and implement witholding tax under Henry Morganthau’s Treasury On page 14 of The Shock Doctrine, Naomi Klein writes, “In the attempt to relate the history..that has culminated in the radical privatization of war and disaster, one problem recurs: the ideology is a shape-shifter, forever changing its name and switching identities. Friedman called himself a ‘liberal’, but his U.S. followers..tended to identify as ‘conservatives’, ‘classical economists’, ‘free marketers’, and later as believers in ‘Reaganomics’ or ‘laissez-faire’. In most of the world, their orthodoxy is known as ‘neoliberalism’, but..often..simply ‘globalization’.”
THRIVE Environment Solution: .” …One of the more compelling and new ideas is the “Sky Trust” proposed by Peter Barnes of the Tomales Bay Institute in California. The Sky Trust would make all citizens equitable owners of the air. Annual auctions would then be held to issue permits for available “dump space.” This model is based on the Alaska Permanent Fund, which gives residents of Alaska yearly dividends from state oil income…   Labeling of food- such as GMO’s proposed in Stage 2 (limiting government) – would no longer be mandatory or enforced by government. Rather, people would be forced to compete in the free market, and private “eco-labeling” alternatives would draw customers to the obvious, better alternative. In fact, GMO’s would likely be obsolete because their vendors would be continually sued for violating others and would become unable to purchase insurance...”
Libertarian propaganda? “The initial impetus for compiling these articles by Praxis Peace Institute was the widespread but private showings of the documentary film,Thrive. Through discussions of the content in the film and the written material on the Thrive website, we realized that many people viewing the film would not readily perceive the libertarian political agenda behind the film… For example, government regulation could have prevented the runaway libertarian agenda that was pushed by Alan Greenspan and his Ayn Randian cohorts…most of the actual solutions he proposes are strictly libertarian. …The website’s “Liberty” page (in the “Solutions” section) is a real shocker. Peppered with quotes from Ayn Rand, Ron Paul and Stefan Molyneux, the page even includes an attack on democracy. The reactionary program sold as a ‘vision’ on the Thrive website is nothing short of a dark fantasy that would catapult us back to the 19th century with ‘voluntary’ types of social regulation; i.e., no taxes, no labor laws, no child labor laws, no environmental regulations, no Social Security, no Medicare, no public education, no civil rights, and no government programs for the people.”
The Libertarian Party was founded in 1971 out of a small group of disaffected Barry Goldwater (R-AZ) supporters, many of whom labeled themselves “Young Republicans” unhappy with Nixon, who later endorsed the Reagan-Bush ticket.; “It was widely acknowledged that Lew [Wasserman] and Jules Stein helped create Ronald Reagan.” –p2, The Last Mogul, 1998 by Dennis McDougal. Stein and Wasserman ran the global media empire known as MCA, the Music Corporation of America, sold to the Bronfmans in 1995. As an MCA contract player, Reagan’s moneymaking career got a shot in the arm as spokesman and TV host for General Electric.
MCA’s lawyer, Cyrus Vance, became Secretary of the Army under JFK just as RFK’s Justice Dept was attempting an anti-trust suit (but that off-topic subject has to wait for another day) Suffice it to say that Libertarianism in the U.S. has the requisite marks of a military-industrial spin-off.
Old Rothschild- and Rockefeller hands controlled the Libertarian-Communist dialectic:
PROTOCOL No.2: “It is indispensible for our purpose that..war will thus be brought on to the economic ground…
PROTOCOL No.4: “..shocks delivered to economic life..have already created disenchanted, cold and heartless communities. Such communities will foster a strong aversion towards the higher political and towards religion. Their only guide is gain, that is Gold, which they will then erect into a veritable cult…”
PROTOCOL No.6: “At the same time we must intensively patronize trade and industry, but first and foremost, provide a counterpoise to industry… What we want is that industry should drain off from the land both labor and capital and by means of speculation transfer into our hands all the money of the world… To complete the ruin of industry..we shall bring to the assistance of speculation the luxury which we have developed… that greedy demand for luxury which is swallowing up everything…”
PROTOCOL No.8: “We shall surround our government with a whole world of economists. That is the reason why economic sciences form the principal subject of the teaching…”
PROTOCOL No.10: “When we have accomplished our coup d’etat, we shall say…’Everything has gone terribly badly..’ …It is indispensible to trouble in all countries the people’s relations with their governments so as to utterly exhaust humanity with dissension…”
PROTOCOL No.11: “It is this which has served as the basis for our organization of Secret Masonry which is not known to..these ‘goy’ cattle…
PROTOCOL No.13: “The part played by the liberals, utopian dreamers, will be finally played out when our government is acknowledged. Till such time…we shall continue to direct their minds to all sorts of vain conceptions of fantastic theories, new and apparently progressive…”
PROTOCOL No.15: “Under our influence the execution of the laws..has been reduced to a minimum. The prestige of the law has been exploded…”
PROTOCOL No.16: “Classicism..we shall replace with the study of the program of the future… The system of bridling thought is already at work in the so-called system of teaching by Object Lessons.”
PROTOCOL No.18: “When it becomes necessary for us to strengthen the strict measures of secret defense..we shall arrange a simulation of disorders or some manifestation of discontents finding expression through the co-operation of good speakers. Round these speakers will assemble all who are sympathetic to his utterances..”
PROTOCOL No.20: “..we shall touch upon the financial program.., the crowning and the decisive point of our plans… the sum total of our actions is settled by the question of figures… They will put an end to those abuses to which we owe our mastery over [them]..but which cannot be allowed in our kingdom.”
PROTOCOL No.22: “We shall contrive to prove that we are benefactors who have restored to the rent and mangled earth the True Good and also freedom of the person..”
“The Harvard Economic Research Project (1948-) was an extension of World War II Operations Research. Its purpose was to discover the science of controlling an economy: at first the American economy, and then the world economy… [It] was discovered that an economy obeyed the same laws as electricity and that.. know-how developed for the electronic field could be directly applied in the study of economics… [It] follows that only..language translation and concept definition needed to be written for economics. The remainder could be gotten from standard works on mathematics and electronics…  [A]lternatives to war as economic inductors or economic flywheels are an open-ended social welfare program, or an enormous (but fruitful) open-ended Space Program…”
“[T]he filmmakers jump the tracks of rationality… [Thrive] plays the conspiracy card. And not just any conspiracy, but the granddaddy of them all: that a handful of families control the world and plan to enslave humanity… (As the torus symbol dominates Thrive’s first section, the pyramid dominates the second.) And at the top of this alleged pyramid of evil: the Rothschilds. Not everyone watching this film will know that this argument has been around, and been discredited, for decades. Apparently the desire to find someone to blame for all the world’s problems spans generations. And the Rothschilds make a pretty good target. Are the Rothschilds very, very rich? Undoubtedly. Are the members of this family doing the work of Mother Teresa or the Dalai Lama? Mostly not. Are they all-powerful puppet-masters who secretly rule the world? Are they descended from a race of snake-people? Do they eat children? Um…no, no and no.”

“My dear brothers, never forget, when you hear the progress of enlightenment vaunted, that the devil’s best trick is to persuade you that he doesn’t exist!” — Baudelaire, 1864

If Santa Cruzians want to battle over what to make of Thrive, right there on the Gambles’ home turf, the rest of us might step aside and take a lesson. There’s not a New Age enclave in America that isn’t feeling some pain by now. A Progressive commentator at Praxis writes, “So we and many others (including some interviewed in this film) are wondering out loud, What the bleep is actually going on?”

I’ll toss in the pitch for MIND CONTROL on the grounds that no legitimate political party seeking public endorsement would commit something to print as contemptible as the last sentence on the THRIVE Environment Solution: “Labeling of food- such as GMO’s proposed in Stage 2 (limiting government) – would no longer be mandatory or enforced by government. Rather, people would be forced to compete… In fact, GMO’s would likely be obsolete because their vendors would be continually sued for violating others and would become unable to purchase insurance...”  Nobody at Praxis seems to have noticed that some of the Thrive Solutions website pages are void of content (i.e. Science, Spirituality) so this veil gets pretty thin exposing THRIVE as a strawman for progressivism (gradualism) in the Dialectic.

Crop circles, UFOs, and alien abductions, as subjects with a long and murky past in hardcore mind control, suggests going soft doesn’t change anything –it’s still hardcore. So what are the makers of Thrive trying to prove? Is this a “mass-action social experiment”?

1991 was a big year in crop cirles that led to the creation of an investigative expedition called Project Argus: “Briefly stated, the project’s goal was to learn if some crop circles exhibited physical effects which would be generate by casual human activity… thanks largely to the dedicated work of Marshall Dudley and Dr.W.C. Levengood… Project Argus was a joint effort initiated mainly by two organizations, the North American Circle (NAC) and the Centre for Crop Circle Studies (CCCS)… significant contributions were made in particular by the Robert Bigelow Holding Corporation, the Fund for UFO Research and MUFON… the project formally began its fieldwork in England on July 9, 1992.”
“Argus was headquartered..near the small village of Alton Barnes [Wiltshire, UK], the approximate ‘heart’ of crop circle country. From..[there] you could see one of the Valley of Pewsey’s several white horses carved in the chalk hillsides… Both Stonehenge and Avebury were but a few miles away.”
J. Marshall Dudley –Project Argus nuclear equipment specialist, formerly with Tennelec, Oak Ridge TN (founded by Edward Fairstein):
…”I had done some radioactive analysis  [in 1991]on a number of samples from crop circles  and found that in one circle a number of inexplicable radioisotopes were present  that are not naturally occurring and had a relatively short half life. In a paper that I coauthored with Michael Chorost I  proposed that the isotopes had been created by bombardment with high energy  deuterium (heavy hydrogen) particles. Such a source of particles is not known to  exist in nature…”
Dudley’s deception is to present a summary deemed “inexplicable”. The isotopes he measured are commercially traded substances, created with particle accelerators. Three in particular are commonly used as biological tracers: bismuth-205, yttrium-88 and vanadium-48, listed here . Short-lived isotopes are just what the doctors order.
Aside from common medical-use tracers are isotopes common to laboratories. All but one of Dudley’s isotope findings can be found on this “quantity regulation” labeling list:  The last, not listed on this Washington state document, is tellurium-119m, which may not have had significant applications in industry at the time or may have restricted uses as an “energetic material”.
Robert Bigelow, Las Vegas real estate mogul, was called the “Cosmic Landlord” by Forbes. Bigelow produces inflatable space stations for lease. “The U.S. space business had estimated revenue of $40.9 billion in 2010, according to the Aerospace Industries Association…’In ten years time the revenues will be more than double…’ Wealthy entrpreneurs are scrambling for position. Elon Musk, cofounder of PayPal, is developing new rockets and reusable spacecraft at his company SpaceX… ‘Space is not just in the realm of government anymore,’ says Peter Diamandis.”
            Laurance Rockefeller
Eight months after Project Argus took up residence in Wiltshire, in March of 1993, Laurance Rockefeller’s lawyer began producing documents for the Rockefeller Disclosure Initiative.
In the summer of 1993, a group of CSETI advisors and military  consultants met to discuss how to best develop a reliable point of contact (POC)  to the US government.
Steven Greer:”After beginning the CSETI Project Starlight UFO/ETI disclosure effort in the summer of 1993, I was invited to a meeting at Mr. Laurance Rockefeller’s JY Ranch near Jackson Hole WY, where I met Mrs Marie (Bootsie) Galbraith. I shared with Ms. Galbraith and the others gathered there our plans regarding collecting the Best Available Evidence regarding UFOs and our plans to  provide briefings for world leaders and the public on the subject… Mrs. Galbraith indicated a keen interest in assisting with this effort.  Subsequently I provided to her, to Mr. Rockefeller and to the BSW Foundation  a full complement of our plans, strategy and an outline of the BAE, ..’Best  Available Evidence’, the concept and strategy for its use, etc.
…”Subsequently, BSW and Mrs. Galbraith hired Don Berliner and Antonio Huneus [sic] to work on writing the BAE, although Berliner was the primary paid  writer/researcher.    In the fall of 1995, some 2 years after first providing the concept, title,  strategy etc to Mrs. Galbraith et al, she mailed me a NON-COPYRIGHTED Best  Available Evidence document to be used for briefing leaders as stated above… By September of 1993 this plan was in action, and with the assistance of  a senior official at the Joint Chiefs of Staff, a meeting was set up at  Wright-Patterson Air Force Base with the top-secret Foreign Aerospace Science  and Technology Center located there…
Infighting among the champions of Disclosure, however, appears to have separated the field. Some of the documentation was removed and privatized. Steven Greer took his arguments public in interviews with Hustler magazine and Art Bell (who is incidently a celebrity Libertarian, as is Flynt, dontcha know)… And so it goes backgrounding the low-hanging fruit behind THRIVE, Disclosure and ETs… Greer said, “It’s about your pocketbook, not about little green men.”
Greer claims there are dozens of alien bodies and crash material at “an underground facility near Fort Huachuca in Arizona.” Aliens or not, Fort Huachuca’s an interesting place. In 1954, the US Army turned it into the Electronic Proving Ground.
(According to “ufowatchdog”, Greer “has always been bonkers.” )
   One of the Libertarians’ leading lights, Harry Browne (1933-2006) put in Army time at Fort Huachuca in the mid-50s after a tour in the Marshall Islands monitoring the controversial H-bomb tests that unexpectedly spewed massive amounts of radioactive fallout. In 1996, and again in 2000, Browne was the Libertarian pick for President: “Harry Browne is best known as the author of Harry Browne’s Special Reports, an  investment newsletter published since 1974.”;
Browne did not appear on the 2000 Arizona ballot, however, as the Arizona Libertarian Party instead chose to run L. Neil Smith, whose candidacy was a protest against that of Browne.Science fiction author Smith, whose works “include the trilogy of Lando Calrissian novels”, as in STAR WARS, created the Libertarian Futurist Society’s Prometheus Award.”
Prometheus Award winners:
The most decorated Prometheus winner, Victor Koman, runs a publishing house called KoPubCo, “publishing division of the Triplanetary Corporation” and promotes a philosophy defined by Samuel E. Konkin known as AGORISM. Konkin had another term for it too: anarcho-capitalism.
Agora (defined): the marketplace in ancient Greece, or in Hebrew, a coin.
One can plunge into the labyrinth of Libertarian agorism by following the marketeers at Agora Inc., many of whom emulate Harry Browne by marketing investment newsletters (some nasty stuff in there)
Another doubly-decorated Prometheus winner is Vernor Vinge.  At a NASA symposium in 1993, Vinge announced that “within 30 years, we will have the technological means to create super-human intelligence. Shortly after, the human era will be ended.”,8599,2048138,00.html
Vinge did not appear in THRIVE, but his colleague Barbara Marx Hubbard did, and so did several others of theirs who share in the ideas of “conscious evolution” — Marx Hubbard’s organization, Foundation for Conscious Evolution, has members in the production of THRIVE.
Real UFOs, distinctively terrestrial in origin, are getting grassroots disclosure :  Luke Fortune’s website goes for the nutshell promoting his work on “100 years of UFO patents” featuring people like Prof. John Searl and patent holder Henry W. Wallace.  Here Searl explains his “levity disc” and free energy generator
                                                      Searl levity disc
The Day Before ‘Roswell’
Albuquerque Journal, Sunday morning July 6, 1947:
The magic words ‘atomic energy’ were offered tonight [Sat.July 5] as the explanation of the baffling ‘flying saucers’ which have been sighted in increasing numbers by hundreds of persons in 32 states, but mainly in the western United States for the past week. A noted scientist at the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena said flatly the objects skimming throughout the skies are the results of Government experiments in ‘transmutation of atomic energy’… officials of the Atomic Energy Commission in Washington said it had no experiments involving ‘flying saucers’ under way and one of them added, ‘All we know is what we read in the papers’…Two Chicago astronomers said the discs are probably ‘man-made and radio-controlled’… Support for the Pasadena scientist’s statements came from several quarters. It appeared that the discs were definitely ‘man-made’ and not ‘space ships’ from another planet… And from Los Angeles came word that the idea of airborne ‘saucers’ is not new. Leo Bentz, once noted builder of racing autos, said he witnessed a demonstration of a saucer-like flying model back in 1928… Bentz said the inventor..was a Frenchman, George de Bay, who has since dropped out of sight…”
So, what is Conscious Evolution?
Decades of debate and collaboration by psycho-spiritual think tanks have been asking the same question:
William Irwin Thompson: “In 1975..[we held] one of our Lindisfarne Conferences on “Conscious Evolution and the Evolution of Consciousness”. This conference developed into a hockey face-off between the Confucian mandarinism of Jonas Salk and the ecological Taoism of Gregory Bateson… When I invited Jonas, I specifically asked him not to give the same speech on ‘Epoch A and Epoch B’ that he gave at a conference we were attending in Washington D.C., and I would have everybody read his book, The Survival of the Wisest… But Jonas gave his stump speech, so I was annoyed..that we could not take it to a higher intellectual level.” [Roger Revelle, the director of Scripps Research Institute who was called upon to help direct the founding of the Salk Institute, said Jonas Salk was “not too bright”. Marx Hubbard and Jonas Salk cofounded an organization together called ‘Epoch B’, the coming age of problem-solving in line with a shared concept of “metabiology”, the manipulation and application of biological resources for human use]
Nevertheless, writes Thompson, “After the intellectual excitement of the summer conference of 1975…a new kind of group soul was being embodied of those who expressed the spirit of what I called the new planetary culture [and] I decided to create the Lindisfarne Fellowship..[for] those around the world whose works served to help us in articulating and effecting the shift from one world civilization to another… Later..I would call the political implications of this new culture the Green Politique.
“In 1977 I had from the Rockefeller Brothers Fund –a grant of $15,000 a year for three years– to support a scholar-in-residence program for our new facility in Manhattan, and Gregory [Bateson] was my first choice… We had acquired an abandoned Episcopal church..[where] rent was only a dollar a year for ninety-nine years… To extend our discussions into physics, technology, and culture, we decided to invite physicist David Finkelstein and the inventor Arthur Young… [in biology] Francisco Varela..[became our] second scholar-in-residence… What emerged in this imaginative landscape of Lindisfarne was a new relationship between epistemology and ecology in Gregory’s critique of “conscious purpose” and John Todd’s “Living Machines.” …we all could feel that we were in the presence of something new, not simply a new idea or theory, but a new world view. When the critique of Computationalism in the “Embodied” cognitive science of Francisco Varela was added to this world view in 1977, and then the Gaia evolutionary theory of James Lovelock and Lynn Margulis in 1981, it began to be obvious to all of us that a more human science was showing its face at Lindisfarne and that just such a science was as critical to the process of planetization as any esoteric philosophy of the past…
And so, as the unconscious Gaia “is now the dark, polluted, global ecology in which we all dwell”, the Conscious Evolution as it is more recently described will reverse these trends and, with our help and applied ‘intelligence’, the planet will ‘awaken’ to itself and become vastly more intelligent. Or something like it.
Manfred Clynes, who coined the term ‘cyborg’, used a similar phrase called ‘participant evolution’ which seems to describe a more personalized sense of ‘conscious evolution’.
The idea of Conscious Evolution, then, impels application on the order of the Universe:
Marx Hubbard’s essay, quoting James N. Gardner and his theory of the “Biocosm”: “The universe we inhabit is in the process of becoming pervaded with increasingly intelligent life –but not necessarily human, or even human-successor life… Our purpose is to transform it from a collection of atoms to a vast transcendent mind…
“The universe is coming to life, purposely and in accordance with a finely-tuned cosmic Code that is the precise functional equivalent of DNA in the terrestrial biosphere. The universe the process of self-assembly and self-animation, endowed with the capacity to…transmit heritable traits –the same cosmic Code…” Marx writes, “Gardner’s thesis implies ‘the emergence of trans-human intelligence as a necessary condition precedent to the task of cosmological engineering..’ In this meme, we are a vital link in this cosmic purpose. However, we are just a brief link. As Steven J. Dick of NASA says: ‘Biologically-based technological civilization is a fleeting phenomenon limited to a few thousand years, and exists in the universe in the proportion of one thousand to one billion, so that only one in a million civilizations are biological.”
Barbara Marx and husband Earl Hubbard were co-founders of the 1970 Committee for the Future (CFF): “They proposed establishing a lunar colony…as a great utopian experiment…  The CFF’s charter clearly voiced..utopian ideals: “Earth-bound history has ended. Universal history has begun…We, the Committee for the Future, believe that a long-range goal for Mankind should be to seek and settle new worlds…”
>>>Earl Hubbard was the brother of L. Ron Hubbard of Scientology fame. For more on Marx Hubbard and Jonas Salk, who co-created an orgnization called ‘Epoch B’, see comment  #10.
This is, like the blanks in the THRIVE Solutions pages, void of Science and Spirituality.
“The evolution of technology development is often confused with science in the public mind.” –Ralph E. Gomory, former president of IBM and protege of Emanuel Ruben Piore, chief of the Office of Naval Research. The human implications of the technological side of the Trans-human agenda is somewhat addressed here:
The DNA-like code referred to by Gardner above is related to plasma physics, and called THE KEY in part two of Thunderbolts of the Gods; Interestingly enough, the world’s first plasma/fusion energy project is called the Joint European Torus (JET) Project, built in the UK in 1977, achieving ‘plasma’ status in 1983 and generating fusion energy in 1991.; “A tokamak is a device using a magnetic field to confine a plasma in the shape of a torus.  Achieving a stable plasma equilibrium requires magnetic field lines that move around the torus in a helical shape. Such a helical field can be generated by adding a toroidal field… The word tokamak is a transliteration of the Russian word токамак

Foster Gamble (THRIVE): “I figured that learning how the Universe creates and sustains life would actually be quite useful. Each of these little packets of wholeness that Einstein discovered, called a quantum, is made out of its surroundings but is distinct within it, like a whirlpool in water. These packets are always the same pattern no matter what size and they are surprisingly relevant to issues as seemingly disconnected as wars in the Middle East, the global financial collapse and how to achieve justice for everyone. We’re about to explore how.
Mathematicians call this pattern the TORUS. The energy in a torus flows in through one end, circulates around the center, exits out the other side. It’s balanced, self-regulating and always whole. I was officially introduced to the torus by scientist and inventor Arthur Young.”
The TORUS is a model of wireless dipole radiation, view here; “The 3-dimensional radiation pattern in free space is a fat doughnut with the  dipole piercing its central hole.”
Arthur M. Young ( interview with Arthur Bloch): “..I didn’t tell you how spiritual Light is, did I?…I had to relearn physics and in relearning physics, I found that everything hangs on the photon. The photon is this unit of action that cannot be subdivided –you don’t have one-and-a-half actions–’s one thing or nothing…that’s what Planck discovered about light, that it comes in whole units, or quanta, and these quanta are very universal in their function. Everything that happens between these particles that we talk about (billiard balls..or what have you) in the form of photons, or Light. It’s not just communication of one atom to another, or one molecule to another –it’s the creation of particles themselves…
So to sum it up, the photon has a very primary role. Now, why is  it spiritual –It’s spiritual because it has none of the properties that matter possesses. It doesn’t have mass; it doesn’t have charge; it doesn’t have position; it doesn’t have time. It’s outside of Time –clocks stop at the speed of light. It has no position because you couldn’t possibly locate it.  I think the most interesting thing of all about the photon is that only one person can see it…photons that one of you sees is not the same as another one sees. Only one person is seeing each photon because when you see a photon you annihilate it…[and] because they [the photons] don’t exist anymore, they’re a complete uncertainty. You couldn’t predict them. So, here’s the unpredictable and the immaterial and it’s in place Number One and is also responsible for the creation of matter and all the interchanges between matter…”
Practical applications with photons: “A maser is a device similar to a laser, which amplifies light energy by stimulating photons. The maser, rather than amplifying light energy, amplifies the lower frequency, longer wavelength microwaves and radio frequency emissions.”
Young devised a “Theory of Process” which you can learn about here:
Comparing the Theory of Process and  Theosophy Critical parts of Arthur Young’s theory of Process, as  described in the Reflexive Universe and The Geometry of Meaning, were derived  from the Theosophical tradition. Institute founder Arthur Young will discuss  where his ideas converge and where they differ from those of Besant, Leadbeater,  Blavatsky et al.”;”The fundamentally satanic nature of Blavatsky’s ‘spirituality’ is indicated by many of her own statements, such as: ‘Stand in awe of him, and sin not, speak his name with trembling.   It is Satan who is the god of our planet and the only god…. When the Church therefore, curses Satan, it curses the cosmic reflection of God.’ …Most people will find it difficult to understand, but Luciferians and Talmudic/Kabbalist Jews (often the same people) have an entirely different worldview from the rest of us.  Christian Marion Knox explains: ‘..The core religion of their belief system comes from the Cabala, a book containing mysticism, and written by a sect of the Pharisees who went into Babylon after the destruction of Jerusalem.   As a matter of fact, the holy language of the Illuminati is Hebrew…The idea was to get together 13 powerful families or bloodlines; with the Rothschilds being the most influential, to rule the world. ‘ “  —Eric Karlstrom

Kabbalah worship: The Meru Foundation is a Young-supported and inspired group that applies the Theory of Process to the Kabbalah: “The Hebrew letters are said to connect our inner wisdom with our outer knowledge… it should be no surprise that the model human hand designed by Meru Foundation,  whose two-dimensional outlines look like the Hebrew letters, is actually a  clearly defined section of a torus!”;

“Anodos Foundation was created in memory of Arthur M. Young in  November, 1995…[because] scientists and philosophers alike have recognized that technological advances  have propelled society beyond its capacity to comprehend and be responsible for  ‘progress’. ”; Anodos (Greek, “odos” means “the way”; together with prefix “an”, it means to ascend or progress upward)”

Arthur Young is the inventor of the Bell Helicopter and step-father of Michael  Paine, who worked at Bell Helicopter’s Texas plant and at whose home Lee Oswald  stayed on the night before the assassination. Oswald’s wife Marina lived at the Irving, Texas home with Michael Paine’s wife  Ruth, who visited Arthur Young and his wife, Michael’s mother, in the summer of  1963…  After visiting with Young and Michael’s mother at their  farm near Philadelphia, Ruth Paine drove to New Orleans, picked up Marina and  the alleged assassination rifle, and drove them to Irving, while Oswald went to  Mexico City. The rifle was then stored in the Paine’s garage until the day of  the assassination. If the assassination of President Kennedy was the result of a covert  operation, rather than the act of a deranged loner, then the intelligence  networks that operated in conjunction with Bell Helicopter’s military arm may  have played a role in the murder…  Michael Paine’s mother, Ruth Forbes Paine Young — who was the more important  player and has the significant associations with the CIA officials connected  with the assassination. Ruth Forbes is a close personal friend of former OSS operative Mary Bancroft,  who was Allen Dulles’ wartime mistress. Ruth Forbes also helped organize Cord  Meyer’s World Federalists and the International Peace Academy (IPA) at the UN,  both pivotal organizations involved in the U.S.-Russian-Cuban nexus that  developed around the Bay of Pigs, Cuban Missile Crisis and the  assassination… Arthur Young and Ruth Forbes Paine Young are two of the most significant, yet  least known players in the assassination drama, a point that I hope to rectify  at this COPA conference.” –William Kelly

Kelly interviewed Arthur Young the year before his death, c1994, and wrote, “While I was talking to Young, we were interrupted by his wife, Mrs. Ruth Forbes Paine Young…  Arthur Young had explained earlier that she was in the beginning stages of [Alzheimer’s]… She sat down with us for awhile, and while I wanted her to talk about her good friend Mary Bancroft, Allen Dulles’ WWII OSS mistress, instead I asked her about her work with the World Federalists. Founded by Cord Meyer, Jr., a USMC veteran who later became a top deputy to Alan Dulles at the CIA, the World Federalists were an early attempt to support the United Nations and work towards the establishment of a world government. In its fledgling years, Ruth Forbes Paine Young held a number of charity balls to raise money for the organization, and helped it get established…  Arthur Young said that one of his wife’s most significant achievements was the establishment of the International Peace Academy (IPA) at the United Nations, which she did with the assistance of Gen. Rickie [sic], of the Indian Army…; Barbara Marx Hubbard is also a leading World Federalist. As William Dean Ross wrote in 2000, “Go to websites of Barb Marx Hubbard and find the relationship between  her and The Future World Society and the World Federalist  Association that are plastered all over the “Age of Cataclysm.” She was the  founder of one and the co-founder of the other and sat as president on both.  While you are there, look at her comrades: Norman Cousins, Buckminster  Fuller, Marilyn Fergusen, Timothy Leary and Lt. Col. Jim Channon. Read their books. These people are for  putting a “chip” in you so we can have a very peaceful controlled world.”

Transgenic Round-up

NATURE is literally forced at the point-of-a-gun to permanently accept mutant biological shrapnel or die. Only the survivors, be they microbes or caged lab rats are allowed to multiply and pass on their new genes while a potentially unlimited variety of species are being cross-linked for use. An alarmingly escalated pattern of ‘blight’ and disease which threatens world food supplies and human survival appears to closely precede the mass introduction of transgenics wherever they take root. I’ll write more about this pattern in future posts — for now, here’s a sample roll call of transgenic progress.
The Helios Gene Gun..”uses..DNA- or RNA-coated gold particles..loaded into the gun and you pull the trigger.”

“..Monsanto researchers encountered enormous diffculties in introducing [a mutant gene] into soybean cells… In the face of this resistance from nature, [they] decided to bring out..a “gene gun” invented by two Cornell University scientists…When John Sanford and his colleague Ted Klein came up with the idea for this last-ditch weapon, they were considered crazy, even though laboratories at the time were prepared to do anything to force the desired DNA to penetrate the target cells… But nothing was working. The gene gun is now the insertion tool most frequently used by the ‘artillerymen’ of genetic engineering. It works by attaching genetic constructs to microscopic gold or tungsten* bullets and shooting them into a culture of embryonic cells… As Arnold Apotheker points out..,’In their determination to subjugate nature, humans use the technologies of war to force cells to accept genes of other species’.” [pp140-141] >>>Monsanto found its pesticide-resistant mutant gene near its most highly glyphosate-contaminated production plant. So what about us? Is the purpose of forced healthcare to search for mutant DNA?

..”The New York Times was able to get its hands on a draft of a secret document, dated October 13, 1986, in which the company’s directors established a veritable battle plan to impose GMOs in the United States. Among the primary objectives were ‘creating support for biotechnology at the highest U.S. policy levels’, and ‘working to gain the presidential the 1988 election’… On June 2, 1987..Monsanto researchers conducted their first field test of transgenic crops in Jerseyville, Illinois… George H.W. Bush assumed the presidency in January 1989… Dan Quayle..presented American policy on GMOs…’We are taking this step as part of the President’s regulatory relief initiative..’ [and published by the FDA as] its regulatory policy on ‘foods derived from new plant varieties..developed by methods of genetic modifications are regulated within the existing framework..utilizing an approach identical to that applied to foods developed by traditional plant breeding.’ ” [p143-145]  “..the techniques of genetic manipulation have absolutely nothing to do with the genealogical selection that has been practiced by breeders since the..mid-nineteenth century… genealogical selection is based on natural laws”.. [p136, The World According to Monsanto, 2008, Marie-Monique Robin]

Spying on our cells – “Gold, DNA Mix Could Result in Biological Nano Spies; A current use of nanogold is “laser-guided” treatment: NanoPulse Biosciences: “We at NanoPulse Biosciences harness the power of optically excited nanomaterials  by pulsed lasers to develop some of the most precise targeted-therapeutic  technologies available…  NPB’s diverse product portfolio and intellectual capital is based on two  scientific technologies: noble-metal nanoparticles and short-pulsed lasers.  Currently, NPB is working with The University of Texas at Austin to obtain  exclusive licensor of the ‘Plasmonic Laser Nanoablation Methods’ patent… Disease-specific targeting of functionalized gold nanoparticles enables highly  selective and precise treatment.”; NanoPulse cofounder Daniel Eversole wrote: “Gold nanoparticles have shown great potential as in-vivo, optically-active, biospecific probes with highly controllable and tunable optical properties for simultaneous molecular imaging and phototherapy. The strong plasmon resonance has led to the development of a variety of nanoparticle-based cancer therapies we term Plasmonic Laser Phototherapy (PLP). “

Transformation of Filamentous Fungi, “over the last few years, microprojectile bombardment has become a powerful tool for transformation on intact cells, particularly for the transformation of fungal strains…such as obligate plant pathogens”
“Stable transformation of..mitochondria was achieved by particle bombardment..using plasmid DNA coated onto to gold or tungsten microparticles. Results demonstrate that the kind and size of microparticles are important factors in determining efficiency of transformation…approximately five-fold [to ten-fold] more efficient with 0.6 gold particles…”

                                                           The Transgenic Human?
Maxine Singer and Paul Berg
In 1972, one of [Maxine] Singer’s colleagues and personal friends Paul Berg of Stanford University was the first to create recombinant DNA molecules… In the early 1990s.. Singer issued an article encouraging the public to try the first genetically engineered food to reach American supermarket shelves.”
Berg wrote in his Nobel Prize autobiography:..”After 6 years in St. Louis, I moved to Stanford University’s Medical Center (1959) to help Kornberg set up the new department of biochemistry. In time, my interests shifted from..microorganisms to mammalian cells and I spent a year experimenting with Polyoma and SV40..with Renato Dulbecco at the Salk Institute. Soon after, I returned to Stanford [and] conceived of using SV40 as a means for introducing new genes into mammalian cells… My colleagues and I succeeded in developing a general way to join two DNAs together in vitro; in this case, a set of three genes responsible for metabolizing galactose in the bacterium E. coli was inserted into the SV40 DNA genome. That work led to the emergence of the recombinant DNA technology ” >>>SV40 monkey virus was a vaccine contaminant in the 1950s & 60s, now thought to be possibly contagious as well as heritable.

“So it was at Stanford, not in St. Louis, that the first genetic manipulations took place. In 1972, as Monsanto was preparing to launch Roundup, Paul Berg succeeded in ‘recombining’ DNA– that is, putting together two fragments of DNA from different species into a hybrid molecule. A little later, his colleague Stanley Cohen announced that he had succeeded in transferring a frog gene into the DNA of a bacterium… These discoveries, which broke a law that had been considered inviolable, the impossibility of crossing what was known as the ‘species barrier’, created great excitement, along with deep concern, in the international scientific community. The worries turned into an uproar when Paul Berg announced his intention to insert a carcinogenic virus, SV40, from a monkey into an E.coli cell*, a bacterium that colonizes the human digestive tract. Some scientific authorities, such as Robert Pollack, a cancer virus specialist, worried: “What will happen if the manipulated organism inadvertantly escapes from the laboratory?” The general outcry led to a temporary moratorium on genetic manipulation and, on February 25, 1975, the first international conference on recombinant DNA… But, at no point did they broach ethical questions, which were excluded from the outset. It was as though the biologists had already decided to ‘limit the involvement of the public and the government in their affairs to the minimum’. The message was soon received loud and clear by the future world leader in biotechnology.” [pp133-134, The World According to Monsanto]

*Berg’s “success” was a done deal long before 1972. SV40 was the “cancer-causing” virus transferred to polioviruses used in the Salk and Sabin vaccines –viruses known to have been cultured on human HeLa cells (immortalized cancer cells).  Berg’s original work with SV40 seems to parallel its discovery in 1960 and its public outing as a vaccine contaminant in 1963.  While Berg supposedly perfected his recombinant techniques using SV40 as a carrier ‘mule’, Maxine Singer was on a year’s sabbatical at the Weizmann Institute (1971-72) while Albert Sabin was its president (1970-72), working on SV40 research which proved that the host cell transferred its genes into the SV40 virus (creating a defective virus that was still able to replicate and pass on its genes ). The polio vaccines of the 1950s and 60s were not just a radiation experiment, or an anti-cancer vaccine as the government insiders may have believed, but in fact an unacknowledged transgenic alteration of the human population, presented as an after-the-fact occurrance in scattered, stepwise scientific studies.

“Molecular biologists knew very well that plant organisms possess defense mechanisms designed to protect them from the intrusion of foreign bodies, including, of course, genes coming from other living species. From the very beginning, those biologists understood that genetic manipulation could not be carried out without using an intermediary, or a ‘mule’, able to transport the selected gene and make it enter by force into the target cell. For this purpose, they turned to [bacteria with] the capacity to insert some of its genes into.. cells to cause tumors… In 1974, a Belgian* research team succeeded in identifying the plasmid (a ring of DNA) constituting the vector by which the gene that induces the tumor is transferred from the bacterium to the [host]. In St. Louis, as in laboratories around the world at the time, they then attempted to isolate in the plasmid the gene responsible for the tumors and replace it with the gene of interest by adding a gene ‘promoter’, a sequence of DNA that triggers the expression of the gene to be triggered.” [p137, The World According to Monsanto]

“Transgenic: Having genetic material (DNA) from another species. This term can be applied to an organism that has genes from another organism. It is understood that the foreign genes are in the transgenic animal’s germ-cell DNA and so can be transmitted from one generation to the next.” ”

Example of an applicaton:
“Recombinant virus-like particles as drug delivery system; The drug delivery system described here is based on a virus-like particle consisting of the recombinant protein of Polyomavirus VP1… The VP1 protein acts as a major ligand for certain membrane receptors during virus infection… VP1 proteins provide a targeting a well as a drug binding site when used as a..drug carrier for gene therapy.”
Horizontal gene transfer “is any process in which an organism [or virus] transfers genetic material (i.e.DNA) to another cell that is not its offspring… common among bacteria..[and] thought to be a significant cause of drug resistance… Also, [intestinal] bacteria appear to exchange genetic material with each other within the gut in which they live..”;

“[T]his direction was followed by the Democratic administration of Bill Clinton, whose campaign director was Mickey Kantor, later U.S. trade representative and commerce secretary..[who] became famous for the harsh comments and the threats he made against his European counterparts when they announced their intention to label GMO products. In this area, his greatest ally was Dan Glickman…Appointed secretary of Agriculture just after Monsnto’s transgenic soybeans had gone on the market, Dan Glickman was the one who authorized all subsequent GMO crops …in September 2004 he had been apponited CEO of the Motion Picture Association of America, which brings together the six majors in Hollywood. 1996 — Transgenic Crops
Over 20 engineered crops are now being commercialized and quickly brought to market… While transgenic seed introductions in the major field crops (corn, soybeans, cotton and potatoes) have taken the early lead, specialty crops in fruits, vegetables, and forages are not far behind. Major agribusinesses such as Novartis, Monsanto, Dekalb, and Pioneer Hi-Bred International, are putting the full efforts of their research..into engineered crops.”
Seeds of Doubt – “In June 1996, the University of California, Davis, began an unprecedented effort to help the West African nation of Mali, using the promising and controversial new tool of agricultural biotechnology…disease-resistant rice to help feed the impoverished country…So far – like UC Davis’ effort to aid Mali – biotechnology has not delivered.”
“[E]xamples of unpredicted immunogenicity or toxicity are two food products. In the 1990s, in feeding trials with rats (and mice), genetically engineered (GE) tomatoes in the US (Calgene) as well as GE potatoes in the UK [6,7] were found to cause damage to the gut and its mucosal cell lining. In both cases, the transgenes used were coding for proteins regarded as harmless when ingested by mammals. Another major risk in the IMR project is horizontal gene transfer

“The fact remains that the transgenic potatoes had unexpected effects on the [test] rats’ organisms… First, the rats in the experimental groups had brains, livers, and testes less well as atrophied tissue, particularly in the pancreas and the intestine. We also found a proliferation of cells in the stomach, and that is troubling because it can facilitate the development of tumors caused by chemical products. Finally, the immune system of the stomach was overactive which suggests that the rats’ organisms were treating the potatoes as foreign bodies… Apparently, contrary to what the FDA claimed, the insertion technique was not a neutral technology because by itself it produced unexplained effects.” –Arpad Pusztai, [pp180-181, The World According to Monsanto]

2007Chicken eggs make human drugs: “engineered chickens may become a more economical and effective method of drug production than current industrial techniques… The genes for the desired proteins were injected into the embryos of newly-laid eggs…The eggs hatched, giving the researchers a transgenic cockerel..who was mated with normal hens to produce more transgenic hicks that also carried the genes. The protein is only found in the whites of a chicken egg… ‘There is also some evidence that proteins [from] chickens may have characteristics closer to human protein than if they are produced in bioreactors,’ said [Roslin Institute team leader, Helen] Sang.”
“Biotechnology now allows us to genetically engineer animals so that they produce proteins that are human pharmaceuticals. For certain drugs that are difficult to produce using existing methods or are needed in large quantities, production in GE animals offers the most efficient and practical solution… Other applications include making animal organs compatible with humans, a technology known as xenotransplantation. Research is being conducted to produce transplant organs in pigs that may be a source of organs for humans.”
2009 — “Only a few countries have the technology to clone farm animals and Iran is one of them, having proven its capabilities..[with its] first cloned sheep in the Royan Institute. The success rate of cloning proceedures at Royan Institute is comparable with pioneer countries in this field such as New Zealand, Denmark and the USA… Producing the first transgenic goat cells that contain a genome for producing t-PA is another achievement of Royan Institute, which gives the hope of producing transgenic goats that can secrete their milk. The Institute is also ready to revive animal species which are exposed to extinction by using cloning technology.”

GM mosquitoes:

[fall 2009] “British company Oxitec announced that it carried out the world’s first..outdoor trial in the Caribbean island of Grand Cayman; flightless female mosquitoes developed in a collaboration between U.California Irvine  (UCI) and Oxitec Ltd.
Oxitec is introducing sterile males into India: “The sterile insect technique (SIT), as it is called, may work in the lab but not in the field… it will be disastrous if the released sterile males get back their fertility as a result of random gene mutations. “Probability of such an accident cannot be dismissed when millions of GM mosquitoes are released day after day or week after week,” [Pushpa Bhargava, renowned biologist] says. He says fertility can also be restored with terrible consequences, by the antibiotic tetracycline that may be found in soil or water bodies because, according to Oxitec, its GM mosquitoes are designed to stay sterile only as long as its diet does not contain tetracycline.”

The Big Spill

“BP, the oil company responsible for a broken deep water well that has been gushing oil unabated since April 22, has been dumping massive amounts of the [Corexit] chemical stock…[T]he U.S. [EPA] retracted its allowance and ordered BP to stop Sunday May 23. BP ignored the order.
..’Before May 26, BP used 25,689 gallons a day of the dispersant Corexit’ the network [CNN] reported on July 2. ‘Since then, CNN’s analysis shows, the daily average of dispersant use has dropped to 23,250 gallons a day..”
By spraying poisonous oil dispersants, marine biologist Dr. Chris Pincetich says:
..”They’ve turned a two-dimensional problem of oil sitting on the surface to a three-dimensional problem of oil bound with COREXIT creating substances we know very little about..transforming in the environment through bacterial processes, creating other chemicals in the environment we know absolutely nothing about. It’s going to be impacting every marine organism including ourselves.
…the stuff is toxic…there are a lot of chemical effects that are not being measured by the EPA tests.
[Corexit] basically disrupts the natural ability of oil to bond with itself. Oil, bilipid layers next to each other, are the very basis of life. Each of us is made of cells –those cells are nothing more than an oil layer surrounding our DNA, surrounding our proteins..and all the other molecules ‘talking’ to each other.
You put in a chemical that..disrupts that biological are putting yourself at risk from umpteen effects…
..We are producing an experiment in the Gulf the likes of which no one has ever seen, and the top scientists admit that.”

Nalco, the National Aluminate Company, is the maker of the Corexit dispersants.
“Nalco Holding Company is the world leader in water treatment chemicals and services…The merger that formed National Aluminate Corporation (as Nalco was first known) came as the result of a natural synergy between Chicago Chemical Company and Aluminum Sales Corporation….By 1929 National Aluminate Corporation had founded Visco Products Company to manufacture chemicals used in drilling oil wells. This company established National Aluminate within the oil industry. National Aluminate’s sales for the year 1929 totaled more than $1 million. The following year National Aluminate acquired New York-based Paige-Jones Chemical Company, thereby gaining equipment and rights for the supply of water-treatment chemicals in a convenient-to-use ball-briquette form. In 1933 Emmett J. Culligan, then a chemist at National Aluminate, persuaded Herbert Kern to allow the company to produce a water softening, gel-type chemical zeolite….
…. in December 1999 Nalco was acquired by the French utility company Suez Lyonnaise des Eaux for $4.1 billion in cash plus the assumption of about $400 million in debt. Suez Lyonnaise had its own water-treatment unit called Aquazur and had earlier in 1999 acquired the Pittsburgh-based water-treatment company Calgon Corporation for $425 million   ….Under the Suez Lyonnaise umbrella in 2000, Nalco, Aquazur, and Calgon were integrated under the Nalco Chemical Company name. The firm remained headquartered in Naperville, Illinois….   In 2001 Suez created a global brand for all of its water-related companies, Ondeo, leading to a name change for Nalco to Ondeo Nalco. That same year, Ondeo Nalco bought out its partner in the Nalco/Exxon Energy Chemicals venture, which had grown into a $500-million-a-year business. This company thus became a wholly owned subsidiary of Ondeo Nalco, operating under a new name, Ondeo Nalco Energy Services, L.P. Revenues at Ondeo Nalco grew to $2.7 billion by 2002…. Suez Lyonnaise, in the meantime, had become saddled with a debilitating debt load and began shedding assets. A key component of Suez’s debt-reduction drive was the November 2003 sale of Ondeo Nalco to a consortium of three U.S. private-equity firms, Apollo Management, the Blackstone Group, and Goldman Sachs Capital Partners, for $4.35 billion. Upon completion of this leveraged buyout, the company dropped “Ondeo” from its name and became simply Nalco Company. Nalco’s new owners hired William H. Joyce as the new chairman and CEO. Joyce was spirited away from Hercules, where he had served as chairman and CEO since 2001. He had previously spent more than 40 years at Union Carbide, rising ultimately to chairman and CEO.

…. in November 2004, the investor group took the company public as Nalco Holding Company… Nalco stock thus returned to trading on the New York Stock Exchange.. and thereby had recovered the original cash they had invested while still holding a 64 percent stake in Nalco….Through a series of secondary offerings culminating in February 2007, Apollo, Blackstone, and Goldman Sachs Capital Partners sold off their remaining shares in Nalco Holding. Analysts estimated that the private equity firms garnered a tidy profit of $1.68 billion on their original $992 million investment. Nalco, meantime, continued to focus on organic growth and was particularly targeting such emerging markets as Russia, China, and India…”

Leon Black is a close friend and associate of Michael Milken, the ‘junk bond king’ of the 1980s who went to jail in 1990  Milken “emerged from prison as a legitimate entrepreneur… He co-founded a company called Education Entertainment Network, that produces business videos and CD/ROMs. In 1996, he and Larry Ellison [of Oracle] founded Knowledge Universe, a company dealing in a diverse variety of goods and services, including day care, executive education, corporate training, and toys.” Inadmissable ‘hearsay’ evidence from a 1985 trial suggests Milken conspired with KKR’s Ted Ammon –Ammon was murdered on October 20, 2001. Ted Ammon’s murder is suspiciously linked to the 2001 anthrax attack, by timing and business associations. Ammon could have been called the ‘junk mail king’. In Milken’s 1990 trial, Ammon testified against him.

Larry Ellison, Oracle founder and business partner of Apollo’s Leon Black, is interested in something called “drug personalization”. Peter D. Sutherland, former non-executive Chairman of (UK subsidiary) Goldman Sachs Int’l ” in early 2010 finished a 13-year stint as chairman of BP, Europe’s largest oil company. At one point during his tenure, the company was valued on the stock market at £236 billion”   “What do British Petroleum, Goldman Sachs, and the Inter-Alpha Group of Banks have in common? For one thing, they are tools of the British Empire, dedicated to destroying the United States and all vestiges of national sovereignty on the planet. For another, they are all criminal enterprises, which corrupt everything they touch. And third, they are all polluters on a massive scale: BP does it with oil, while Goldman Sachs and the Inter-Alpha Group do it with derivatives and other forms of casino finance. In that regard, we repeat something that we have reported before: they all come together in the form of Sir Peter Sutherland..”  British Petroleum – Amoco – ARCO

Peter Seligmann of Conservation International [June 14, 2010] “The Gulf oil spill is a tragedy. It is a stark reminder that our planet’s ocean and shorelines are extremely vulnerable…Our love affair with cars and cheap gas is responsible… Our government allowed exploration at depths that were too deep, where we did not have the technical and engineering capacity to stop blow outs…  While Conservation international (CI) does not work directly in the Gulf region, we are monitoring the situation constantly and providing input and guidance..”
Mark Tercek of The Nature Conservancy [June 15, 2010] “”The U.S. must seize this moment to enact solutions that can protect the Gulf of Mexico, its communities and its natural resources – and put the U.S. on a sustainable course to a clean energy future including limits on carbon emissions. “Thomas Gold..was a brilliant professor of astronomy at Cornell University. ..His most controversial idea was among his last, and geologists and petroleum experts around the world still rage against Gold for suggesting they were dead wrong in their understanding of how oil and gas are formed in the Earth’s crust….there is increasing evidence [in 2005] that he may have been on to something…
Gold argued that all hydrocarbons are formed in the intense pressure and high heat near the Earth’s mantle, around 100 miles under the ground…
Oil and gas fields are continually replenished by hydrocarbons manufactured far below the Earth, he argued. So there is no fuel crisis. As long as the Earth grinds along on its orbit around the sun, hydrocarbons will continue to be produced and we can all roll along with no fear of running out of gas.
…And the evidence so far suggests that methane, at least, can be produced independent of biological materials..thanks to a magnificent machine. A diamond anvil..[that] was used to simulate the pressures found deep within the Earth.”

Synthetic Biology (creating more demand?):  “Prof. [Ananda M.] Chakrabarty genetically engineereda new species of Pseudomonas bacteria  (“the oil-eating bacteria”) in 1971 while working for the Research & Development Center at General Electric Company in Schenectedy, New York.  At the time, four known species of oil-metabolizing bacteria were known to exist, but when introduced into an oil spill, competed with each other, limiting the amount of crude oil  that they degraded. The genes necessary to degrade oil were carried on plasmids, which could be transferred among species. By irradiating the transformed organism with UV light after plasmid transfer, Prof. Chakrabarty discovered a method for genetic cross-linking that fixed all four plasmid genes in place and produced a new, stable, bacteria species (now called pseudomonas putida) capable of consuming oil one or two orders of magnitude faster than the previous four strains of oil-eating microbes. The new microbe, which Chakrabarty called “multi-plasmid hydrocarbon-degrading Pseudomonas,” could digest about two-thirds of the hydrocarbons that would be found in a typical oil spill….The “oil-eating bacteria” has been used to clean up many toxic oil spills, including the one caused by the Exxon Valdez disaster.”

Corexit 9527A and Corexit 9500
“Two dispersants have been used on the Gulf spill according to the federal spill website at  They are discussed below, with a focus on the specific chemical ingredients known to date. These products share most ingredients in common. Unfortunately, information on the breakdown and interaction byproducts of these chemicals in water and crude oil have not been disclosed.
These additional chemicals may have similar toxic properties, or may vary from the original chemicals that were applied to crude oil…[I]t is not possible to determine the degree to which it captures the range of toxic effects that may occur.
According to these sources, the Corexit 9527A ingredients are:
propylene glycol
organic sulfonic acid salts
Propylene glycol is in the general family of glycol ethers and is used…as a solvent, lubricant, veterinary medicine, antimicrobial, preservative, stabilizer, and as an emollient…
It is an alternative to ethylene glycol in some applications, including anti-freeze.
…It has been licensed for use as a pesticide. It is produced by Dow, Huntsman International, Arch Chemicals, and Lyondell Chemical in the United States and sold in multiple grades, with the largest reported use being for polyester resins…  The 8 hour..average workplace exposure limit is 50 ppm.
[toxic effects observed by study are detailed on the webpage]
Propylene glycol does not have a high apparent acute toxicity for everyone, but some people are very sensitive to it. The multiple systems where damage or disruption has been reported in animal studies and in high exposure incidents in people suggest that care must be taken with this chemical. CDC’s ‘minimal risk level’ is 9 parts per billion in air for moderate term exposures (15-364 days). This low MRL suggests that precautions against exposure are appropriate.
Systems most affected include the blood forming, reproductive, central nervous system, nd skin (in some people). A recent study showing maternal exposure caused delayed puberty and abnormal liver and thymus cells in offspring…Additional research should rapidly explore this issue.
Dispersants issue An important characteristic of propylene glycol is its ability to increase penetration of some chemicals through the skin…increas[ing] the dose of those chemicals inside the body, thereby increasing their toxic effects..
Based on scientific information available primarily from animal studies designed to predict human health effects, 2-BE may cause respiratory, blood cell, reproductive, and developmental damage. There is strong evidence that 2-BE can damge the respiratory system, including causing asthma attacks and increasing the symptoms and severity of many other respiratory diseases. Red blood cells are also a target of 2-BE’s toxic effects...
Corexit 9500 ingredients also contain unknown quantities of arsenic and chromium (unspecified) in combination with synergistic bases, equivalent to pesticides

Eco-Village Under Glass

Meet Will Raap, owner/partner in the ‘green’ communities of the Tierra Verde developments on Costa Rica’s Gold Coast. What makes Raap’s communities ‘green’ appears to be the special status acquired by the partnership in securing official cooperation from the Costa Rican government with supplemental funding and planned infrastructure, like roads. We would have to ask him point-blank if having friends in the Debt-for-Nature program is good for business. Clearly trading in Green is good for Will Raap.,default,pg.html

I wasn’t bothered too much at first by Will Raap as I made my way through his biography and company listings, expecting the usual hyperbole of praises garnered on outstanding citizens; graduate of UCDavis and UCBerkeley who moved to Burlington VT and started an online business –Gardener’s Supply in 1983– and parlayed his successes into environmental politics. From there he organized the purchase of Vermont farmlands in an act of community-spirited preservation which launched him to regional and national fame as a speaker and role-model.

But then, a number of troubling situations appeared as I looked closer. Raap is definitively on-board with Global Warming and Carbon offset trading (which is a multi-faceted ‘credit’ system) and his close partnership with 37-yr-old Matthew Hayden of Hayden Communications International aroused my attention to the gamier side of the Green mountain boys. It occurred to me to check if their mouths were where the money is.

Matthew Hayden,  primary partner in Tierra Verde,  is the owner/founder of HCI, described as “a leading full service investor relations firm exclusively for China based, publicly listed companies”. HCI lists its offices in New York and China… but maintains corporate representation throughout California. Its difficult to tell just how deep HCI goes in the financial and information industries or just how diversified Mr. Hayden is in the numerous business entities he directs. Hayden, on his own behalf, claims an affinity for the beach life, personally signing on to Tierra Verde’s many advertized charms. (catch the video on the homepage). A sampling of HCI’s activity and clients is listed below. (By the way, one of the creepy uses of “HCI” is to designate Human-Computer Interface, DARPA darling) , Armco Metals, PRC, China Green Agriculture, Inc., PRC  , Blue Phoenix Solutions, Inc., Israel, HCI’s own bulletin

Raap’s company, Gardener’s Supply, with a viewable inventory online looks like a veritable import-export clearinghouse for Chinese merchandise. Some environmentalists that I know would object –the Buy Local types. On the “recalled” products page, I found something truly objectionable –a Flame Weeder. Yes, a mini-flame-throwing weed incinerator that attaches to disposable propane canisters –recalled not for being ungreen, but for a faulty attachment coupling that leaks gas and puts the user at risk for flash-over burns.,default,pg.html . For a moment, I enjoyed the joke. This product comes from the UK.

On the loftier side, Will Raap steps out big as the chairman of NGO, The Earth Partners. This is the group that involves itself deeply in the affairs of Costa Rica. One of the Partners, Brinkman and Associates, is in progress converting ‘underutilized’ farmland into teak hardwood plantations. Teak, native to South Asia, is a high-value lumber with natural resistance to weathering making it desirable for flooring and outdoor furniture. The family Raap has developed a teak furniture enterprise to add to the other business ventures in hand. Mrs. Raap comes from Costa Rican coffee-plantation gentility, another huge agricultural growth industry that’s gone green with Fair Trade and niche-market sales, similar to other debt-for-nature nations in the neo-colonial Americas.

The Earth Partners (TEP) “was formed to advance the best forest, wetland, grassland and rangeland EcoSystem Restoration projects in the world”, or more bluntly put, eugenics for Mother Earth. Brinkman is proud to announce that monoculturing teak has replaced the local mismanagement of growing corn and beans. Brinkman operates under the business name of BARCA, S.A. and “its plantations are acknowledged to be some of the best in the world”. The Nature Conservancy is “helping to assemble key land parcels for biofuel production projects” involving TEP and POET, the leading US ethanol producer. TEP’s website explains that “possibilities also exist that these lands being restored for biofuel production may generate multiple entrepreneurial revenue streams (e.g. carbon credits, water credits, wetland credits, biodiversity credits, hunting rights leases, flood damage reduction credits..)” and this is how Green plays on. and

Meanwhile, back at the beach, where the ‘second home’ market is very hot, the 500 acres of Pueblo Verde has something to offer the low-key buyer who prefers a more ‘integrated’ feel than the other sister developments of Tierra Verde. “The area closest to the highway and parallel to the entrance [lot #1]..we are reserving for 2 or 3 families from the area. Our policy at Pueblo Verde is ‘don’t gate, integrate’. In our valley, the imbalance of wealth is making it hard for locals to own land. We want to be good neighbors. The residents on this property will be available for help in the project and offer a form of community security which is ‘built in’, low profile but highly effective.”, (under “Homesites”)

Climax, Climate and Change in Copenhagen

The AGENDA goes full-force and ALL OUT !! If you are yet unconvinced about the contrivance of global warming, consider the 2005 documentary “Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room”, based on a 2003 book by two reporters from Fortune magazine. Among the activities of Enron executives prior to 2001 was the selling of the ‘weather’; technology that not even prospective investors believed existed. The authors of Enron, who gave no clues to the existence of weather technology, nonetheless drew a comparison to the fact that Enron was well ahead of the curve when ‘broadband’ was also believed not to exist. The documentary is available here: For Californians, the engineered downfall of Governor Gray Davis and his replacement with Arnold Schwarzeneggar appears to have been made in the boardroom of Enron.

Americans may not be aware that some of the most progressive environmental legislation ever passed in the US, or in any country, was struck down by the rules of competition from the WTO. Clearly, we have been denied the right to protect ourselves from globalization. The upcoming Copenhagen treaty seeks to levy binding authority by the United Nations on all futher activity of trade and industry; in a nutshell, subordinating the United States Constitution in favor of colonial Maritime Law. States within the US will either have to secede or rally the popular will to uphold the sovereignty of American citizens.

The Crossroads of Global Government
This December, 2009, world leaders are meeting in Copenhagen to sign on to an international treaty to control climate change. In the words of Lord Christopher Monckton, this will be the end of America’s constitutional republic and there is no turning back. The creators of this document will usurp the rights of every nation on earth and install a world-wide regime that lays claim to every square inch of the planet and every creature that inhabits it. Kiss your freedom goodbye!….or tell your leaders any which you can, NOT TO SIGN on to this tyranny. [posted at]

This is probably the most important story I will ever write about. News coverage will comment here and there about ‘climate protests’, perhaps offering the same quality of accuracy as the Swine Flu Pandemic in the days ahead, but nothing in our history compares to the depth and scope of what is happening now –and what is about to happen. It ties up all the threads of world control in the hands of the Rothschilds and their legions of executors. My objective is to continue this post and demonstrate how it works and who is behind it.  But first, ripples must go out across the media to get your favorable attention about an issue that is desirous of popular support. Don’t you want to Save The Planet? Of course you do….

Sat Oct 24, 3:45 pm ET
PARIS (AFP) – Kicking off with thousands gathering on the steps of Sydney’s iconic Opera House, global warming protests took place around the world Saturday to mark 50 days before the UN climate summit.
From Asia to Europe via the Middle East, activists staged lively events addressing world leaders and to mobilise public opinion around climate issues.
Many waved placards bearing the logo 350, referring to 350 parts per million (ppm) of CO2 in the atmosphere which scientists say must not be exceeded to avoid runaway global warming.
France’s politicians received a “wake up” call from several hundred Parisians who chose clocks as their symbol.
Protesters who met in a central square had set their alarm clocks and mobile phones to ring at 12:18 pm (1018 GMT) in reference to the closing date of the summit, which lasts from December 7-18.
The summit is considered crucial as world leaders will try to thrash out a new treaty to curb greenhouse gas emissions in place of the Kyoto Protocol which will expire in 2012.
However, Danish Prime Minister Lars Loekke Rasmussen said Saturday that preliminary discussions are not moving fast enough for an international decision to be concluded in Copenhagen.
“It is time to give full speed to the negotiations,” Rasmussen said, adding that he wanted a legally binding international agreement to be in place by January.
There is growing concern that a treaty deal in Copenhagen could be hampered by issues including US domestic politics and the problems of securing agreement between developed and developing countries.
Rasmussen underlined that progress had been made on climate issues but that these “key political questions” still had to be resolved ahead of the December meeting.

The Science of global warming has a beginning with the discovery of the ‘greenhouse effect’ , described and published between 1824 and 1827 by Joseph Fourier  and adopted into a carbon emissions theory almost one hundred years later by Svante Arrhenius. The Swede Arrhenius (1859-1927) is considered one of the founders of ‘physical chemistry’ and co-founders of the Nobel Institutes and Prize, which he then accordingly “[used] his positions to arrange prizes for his friends attempt to deny them to his enemies”. Among Arrhenius’s dubious accomplishments was supporting the creation of The State Institute for Racial Biology in Stockholm which lent scientific aire to the practice of compulsory sterilization in Sweden, lawful to 1975. Fourier’s legacy, however, was to note that “Earth primarily gets energy from solar radiation, to which the atmosphere is largely transparent, and that geothermal heat doesn’t contribute much to the energy balance.”  The current discussions address this disparity between CO2 levels and solar energy inputs, reframing the argument in accordance with the properties of gases and heat transfer, quoting from this website that “Adding CO2 actually will cause trivial global cooling at the surface..”

Arrhenius apparently was not the first to publicize a link between global warming and CO2. That distinction goes to the American Thomas Sterry Hunt, who delivered his conclusions to the British Royal Society in 1878.

The uptake of CO2 levels as a demonstration of climate change resurged in 1958 under the watch of the Scripps Institute of Oceanography and its director, Roger Revelle. Scripps is a research institution within a partnership complex of the University of California that supports a large medical services system in San Diego county. Readers who’ve followed my blog stories of ‘polio’ and ‘fallout’ are familiar with Scripps as a key facility of the military-industrial-medical cartel, which includes the Salk Institute and (historically) Los Alamos, N.Mex, weapons lab. Revelle, who married Ellen Scripps, participated in the first peacetime A-bomb tests (in 1946) called Operation Crossroads and in ’58 he supported Charles ‘Dave’ Keeling at the Mauna Loa (Hawaii) observatory as the ‘evidence’ of CO2 emissions was plotted. 1958 became the first International Geophysical Year (IGY) under Revelle’s guidance and it even appears that the University of California at San Diego (UCSD) was founded to develop global warming science. Near the end of Revelle’s official leadership of the Scripps Institute, in 1963, he established the Center for Population Studies at Harvard which took on the academic challenge of ‘World Hunger’, a central issue of global climate change. Revelle returned to UCSD as a professor of climate change, energy development and marine policy and remained a central figure in the Pugwash Conferences and IGY activity until his death in 1991. Dave Keeling also remained active until his death in 2005, in spite of nearly having his funding pulled early on by the National Science Foundation on account of the CO2 fluctuation/increase being perceived as ‘routine’.

Climate Change science as we know it now was (likely) hatched by the Big Energy consortium that heard the airing of a report in 1956 by Shell Oil geologist Marion King Hubbert –the Peak Oil report– confirmed as true in 1971, convenient to the first Club of Rome publication “Limits To Growth”. Hubbert, who died in 1989, remained the only source of “factual proof about the case”, according to , and did not live to see his revised prediction of catastrophic oil shortages by 1995. But ‘shortage’ of the natural-raw-material kind, has never been a problem in the oil industry according to “The Age of Oil” author Leonardo Maugeri.

This is truly about corporate and political hegemony exploiting and ‘witholding’ one set of resources until another becomes available to rival it. Well… those days are here. And in the words of the Club of Rome 1993 report “The First Global Revolution”, those resources are the grassroots. The bottom line on climate science looks to be a pillow fight, lacking hard evidence, for some long time to come. Review some of the controversies here, and read about the scientific publishing malfeasance going on here Globalization has already occurred over the last two decades and integrated information systems are now merging into a Global Brain, we must understand, but the barriers of constitutional nations are the last hold-out for acquiring Consent of the governed. Climate Change is just such a design for your consent.

Todd Stern, US Special Envoy for Climate Change, says “you will not hear anyone in this [Obama] Administration question the science”

An “Open Letter to the Secretary-General of the United Nations”, written by 100 prominent scientists , declares “..the current UN approach of CO2 reduction is likely to increase human suffering from future climate change rather than decrease it….In stark contrast to the often repeated assertion that the science of climate change is ‘settled’  significant new peer-reviewed research has cast even more doubt on the hypothesis of dangerous human-caused global warming…IPCC working groups were generally consider work published only through May, 2005 [and] these important findings are not included..” ,Dec.2007

Todd Stern represents the think tank ‘Center for American Progress’ as a Senior Fellow of the institution,  founded in part by the Sandler family of California and sustained by the funding of George Soros (Gyorgy Schwartz) . The “left-leaning” CAP was established in 1994 during the Clinton Administration to act as a base for political transition to the Obama Administration. Soros, in so many ways, is the visible hand of the Rothschilds at work in the world, exposed as “Your Enemy” here in the ‘dossier’ compiled through the auspices of Lyndon LaRouche:

Watch this 1990 film as a primer for the climate science debate (approx. 55 minutes) . At minute 50,near to the last words of the film ” People hate each other about this issue…have you ever seen a nastier scientific issue? Would you march down the road toward a policy which, people have rightfully said, requires an economic restructuring of the world knowing that the world was behaving opposite to what the basis for that policy said?”

ClimateGate !! More than 10 years worth of hacked email reveals scientific Fraud over climate change: for news, videos and more, also included in this thread is an interesting perspective on the Hegelian use of this ‘hacker’ story found at the anti-communitarian blog of Niki Raapana

President Obama’s Science Advisor, John P. Holdren, has some choice ideas about Climate Change solutions; “One option raised by Holdren and proposed by a Nobel Prize-winning scientist includes shooting pollution particles into the upper atmosphere to reflect the sun’s rays…Holdren said ‘It’s got to be looked at…We don’t have the luxury..of ruling any approach off the table…We’re talking about all these issues in the White House.’ Holdren, a 1981 winner of a MacArthur Foundation “genius” grant, outlined these possible geoengineering options: Shooting sulfur particles into the upper atmosphere..proposed by Nobel Laureate Paul Crutzen in 2006; creating “artificial trees” –giant towers that suck up carbon dioxide out of the air and store it– to ‘try to produce a cooling effect to offset the heating effect..’ said Holdren. But he said there could be grave side effects [such as droughts and irrepairable ozone holes]…’It would be preferable by far’ he said ‘to solve this problem by reducing emissions of greenhouse gasses’..” , described here as dangerously out-of-touch [insane]

Cheeseburger In Paradise

“In vitro meat” is coming! Not an imitation ‘mock meat’, but real meat grown in the lab that will hopefully appeal to vegans and vegetarians as well as die-hard carnivores. The purveyors of in-vitro-meat are working hard to overcome the obstacles of scale-production, cost and the biological requirements of animal-like texture and taste. wow…The idea of Dutchman Willem van Eelen, who thought it up languishing in a WWII Japanese POW camp, is now a “dream coming true” with the help of the In Vitro Meat Consortium and the U.S. non-profit ‘New Harvest’ organization. All they need are stem cells and support for the research, and by the looks of it, a lot of research help is going to be needed. It’s not only expensive to re-invent nature, it’s tricky.

Jimmy Buffett surely won’t mind me borrowing the title of one of his most famous songs since he is a dedicated fundraiser for ecological causes. And when Utopia comes, well, we’re all hoping for a luscious menu, aren’t we? Nobody I know is very turned on by the the thought of Soylent Green, but eerily, the problems of in-vitro-meat are more Soylent Green-like than we’re being led to expect. According to this article in Scientific American, critics and skeptics within the science community note that “in the past three decades, scientists have only succeeded in deriving embryonic stem cell lines from two animal species: the mouse in 1981 and the human in 1998.”  Controllable stem cells, because of their rapid growth, are essential to making an industry out of this vision.

Making an industry with in-vitro-meat, however, is a primary and compatible goal of One-Worldism. They know you can’t live on fruit so they’re busily working to solve the problems. “In 2005 the Dutch government granted three universities and a Dutch meat processor owned by Smithfield Foods two million euros over four years to develop Eelen’s idea”, but the leading researcher, Bernard Roelen, has “so far..only produced fat and cartilage” and the only workable nutrient culture-medium is “derived from cow blood” although “alternatives exist but they are far too costly for food production”. So, if the world crises get too pressing and the in-vitro-meat technical problems are solved, but the damned pork/bovine stem cell thing just isn’t happening, what are the chances they’ll choose either ‘mouse’ or ‘human’ and go with a winner?…um, I’d call that an executive business expedient on a need-to-know basis.

In case we forget from day-to-day just how much trouble we’re in, the Scientific American reiterates the U.N.’s position on global warming, “The methane burps of 56 billion farm animals..are a significant contributor to climate change..”

Meet the Consortium,

In the mid-1960s, a popular science writer named Gordon Rattray Taylor published a book called “The Biological Time Bomb” aimed at posing the social questions on behalf of the public that advances in science and technology were inevitably to present. If one was suspended in time, the issues appear  contemporary. In other words, the public comprehension is at least forty years behind the technology. This time-gap seems nearly about right in other areas of concern besides biology, like weather control and high-energy physics. Things like in-vitro-meat sound like solution-oriented applications of benevolently motivated activists, but this is last-stage accomplishment in the creation of genuine cyborg and synthetic lifeforms and the public discussion has completely missed the proper communication of micobial intelligence.

Mr. Taylor saw Transhumanism coming, and so did the biologists even decades before him. Knowledge about our general intelligence and the mechanisms of memory and learning have a structure encoded in the genetic matrix. Taylor highlighted the ‘chemical’ nature of memory and the promising researches done up to his publication indicating that RNA is the repository of memory, or its facilitator. Memory, in these terms, is described as a characteristic quality dependent on protein synthesis. RNA injection and interference experiments bore out significant impacts on memory and learning. How this relates to human diet is not directly addressed but he does not skip the issues of cannibalism that were part of this experimental milieu, stating that in a lower species “sensational” results of enhanced learning were displayed by cannibalistic feeding. Ohhh….ecologically responsible Smart Burgers. I can see it now, after the culling of course.

The Debt-For-Nature Scheme

“Debt-for-nature” is ‘conservation’ policy of the World Bank and affiliated NGOs around the world who are leveraging individual land-holders and governments to swap their debt with real estate, often prime ecological jewels that then come under NGO management. It’s an amazing ‘protection’ racket taking place under the auspices of global environmentalism, funded by national tax monies and private financial/philanthropic institutions. I started looking into this over a controversy generated by the ‘safety’ of ingesting colloidal silver, believe it or not, when an article I posted here garnered some vehement reactions.

It appears that at least some of the promoters of medicinal colloids are fronting Big Money operations that participate and profit from the debt-for-nature schemes. I was already aware that ‘alternative health’ circulars, particularly on the internet, were a pipeline for disinformation about coming catastrophes like the Bird Flu/Swine Flu Pandemic now upon us. One online magazine in particular that represents this activity is ‘the Natural News’ edited by ‘the Health Ranger’, Mike Adams. Mr. Adams lives in Vilcabamba Ecuador in a paradisical conservation zone that is part of the Andean corridor, an international use-limited area that is quickly maximizing its capacity for private ownership. Adams arranges ‘real estate’ tour trips around Vilcabamba in addition to major eco-tourism enterprises, but if you’re a buyer you’d better hurry up.

The Natural News is owned by Truth Publishing International, Ltd, a corporation chartered from Taichung, Taiwan, that also owns the News Target Network and a radio web, viewable here The material from ‘Truth’ is indicative of interlocking relationships with Agora Publishing (or Agora Group) from Baltimore, Md., a large enterprise for international travel, real estate, investment, and health. Subsidiary, Health Sciences Institute ( markets products from Northstar Nutritionals ( that has a few items to sell –like ‘Soothanol X2’ a DMSO/herbal tincture for pain relief, 1 fluid oz. at $49.95– but this appears to be mostly a business of information.  Agora, a name taken from the Greek for ‘marketplace’, is first and foremost about making money with money. The owner/founders of Agora have invested deeply to profit from general and specific disasters like economic collapse and the Swine Flu Pandemic. One associate of Agora founder Bill Bonner, a Mr. Addison Wiggin who heads the multi-million dollar financial research, wrote “The Demise of the Dollar..and Why It’s Even Better for Your Investments” and issues special-reports to its membership like the “Single Best Way to Make Sure You’ll Never Run Out of Money” which appears to be a financial mechanism he calls “The Endless Paycheck Portfolio”.

I’ve a feeling this is just the tip of the iceberg in comprehending the business nature of Agora (see ); doubtlessly so in the scope of the debt-for-nature activity. According to the wikipedia, Vilcabamba Ecuador became a haven for international expatriates beginning in the 1960s as a community slowly took root there. By the 1990s, the native Ecuadorans themselves were forced to emigrate for lack of work (or finances), many resettling in Madrid Spain and No. America. Were these engineered real estate turnovers? Vilcabamba is a truly incredible location, poised below the reach of the Podocarpus National Park, one of the most bio-diverse and precious places on earth.,_Ecuador (site of The Nature Conservancy, $5.42 billion in assets for 2007)

Bill Bonner, noted from the wiki link above, wrote in his book “Mobs, Messiahs and Markets” that “mass delusions are part of the human condition”. Capitalizing on them, after all, must be good business.

…and if you’re considering some Vilcabamba real estate, Mike Adams wants you to “get it”  first by reading this, “Guiding Principles for People Looking for Vilcabamba, Ecuador Real Estate” If you ‘pass go’ here are some of the neighbors you’ll have in Vilcabamba with their own contact info. Btw, I have no problem with ex-pats, I wish them blessed and happy lives. What interests me are the larger forces at work that make these situations appealing in the first place. It’s in everyone’s purview to have a high-quality life wherever and however they choose to live.

Agora Financial publishes a journal called The Daily Reckoning, editor Addison Wiggin, featuring contributions from ‘staff’ such as Lew Rockwell (, Gerald Celente (Trends Research) and Dr. Ron Paul (US Congress) This group, and the extended arms of Agora, advocate nation-building investments in developing countries that often include international projects funded by US taxpayers. Non-profit Agora Partnerships USA, for example, uses ‘micro’ venture capital and US tax-paid grants to seed entrepreneurial programs abroad and build ‘sustainable economies’ for other countries. Agora Partnerships USA shares an office in Washington DC with USAID, United States Agency for International Development, and it’s TechnoServe program.
The same building hosts the Economic Research Services of the US Dept of Agriculture, it’s primary policy, financing and forecasting service for domestic and global planning. Agora appears to be well within the loop, so this is about far more than hiring a Health Ranger to gatekeep for Shangri-la.

USAID: “August 20, 2003 The Department of State and Agency for International Development (USAID) Strategic Plan for Fiscal Years 2004 to 2009 sets forth the Secretary of State’s direction and priorities for both organizations in the coming years. The Strategic Plan supports the policy positions set forth by President Bush in the 2002 National Security Strategy and presents how the Department and USAID will implement U.S. foreign policy and development assistance.”….

[document excerpt]
“Debt for Nature was developed by Dr. Thomas Lovejoy in 1987 during his work with the World Wildlife Fund. Environmental groups would purchase shaky foreign debt in the secondary market at the market rate, which would be considerably discounted, and then convert this debt at its face value into the local currency to purchase biologically sensitive tracts of land in the debtor nation for purposes of environmental protection. Most of the world’s largest rainforests are located in poor states such as Brazil, Indonesia, Malaysia and Madagascar. ‘The first swap that happened was in 1987 between the Bolivian government and Conservation International’.
There are three main parties involved with a Debt for Nature swap: an international conservation organization, a domestic conservation organization, and a developing country’s government….The three most active international organizations, which are all based in the U.S., are Conservation International, The Nature Conservancy and the World Wildlife Fund. The steps needed don’t vary much from state to state. The conservation organizations provide a proposal to the developing countries government, seeking an agreement. Once an agreement has been reached, they have the World Bank convert the state’s debt into the local currency. The currency is converted into bonds which go into an environmental trust…
The biggest thing once the agreement’s been reached is then their enforcement. The UN has the United Nations Environment Programme for Environmental Development. Their purpose is to provide leadership and encourage partnership in caring..informing, and enabling nations and peoples to improve their quality of life without compromising that of future generations. They are not an enforcement body, which means there is no international body enforcing the terms of the agreement. No one is there to ensure the developing states will keep their end of the agreement made. And even if there was, once the debt has been paid, the developing country can cut down the rainforests and not have to pay back the conservation organization that paid a portion of their debt…”   It should be made very clear that despite this last comment about a country cutting down the rainforests, the conservation organization owns the land, and it is they who may cut down trees or sell the property, depending on whatever discretionary agreements are arranged in the acquisition process.

Conservation International, founded 1987
According to , ‘CI’ is engaging in eco-imperialism, as are the other NGOs, noting that “In 1997, CI signed a comprehensive bioprospecting agreement with California-based company Hyseq which specializes in genomic sequencing. CI agreed to pre-screen drug candidates derived from flora and fauna samples, and provide regular reports on its research findings to Hyseq. As well as an initial contribution, Hyseq would pay CI on a country basis, and an annual fee. Hyseq is free to pursue intellectual property claims over any results.”

“In Panama, CI worked with Novartis, Monsanto, and others, in ‘ecologically guided bioprospecting’ seeking pharmaceutical and agricultural products….In Surinam it cooperated with Bristol Meyers Squibb with its ethnobotanists collecting plant samples”….”A June 2003 report by Chiapas-based [social activism org] dubbed CI a Trojan Horse of the U.S. government and transnational corporations. It revealed that CI’s program of flyovers –part of their USAID-supported ‘environmental monitoring’ program– flew over areas occupied by Zapatista communities in planes which bore USAID markings…”

Three of CI’s main personalities:
*Peter A. Seligmann, co-founder, CEO and chairman, merging ecology, banking and philanthropy
*Mr. Seligmann’s uncle, Henry H. Arnhold, international banker, CFR member, 1937 German emigre who transferred his business to New York City –history of his banking firm here, Arnhold & S. Bleichroeder, Inc. which is a principal holder of George Soros’s Quantum Fund
*Russell A. Mittermeier, president, scientist, World Bank Task Force leader

World Wildlife Fund, founded Sep.11, 1961 in Switzerland
WWF is the world’s largest independent conservation organization, founded by Julian Huxley, Max Nicholson, Peter Scott and Guy Mountfort, who had decades of “experience linking progressive intellectuals with business interests..” In 1986 it changed its name to World Wildlife Fund for Nature and issues two yearly publications of the “Living Planet Report”.

Secretary for External and Environmental Affairs and ‘Science Advisor’ under the Clinton Admin. to (Sec. of the Interior) Bruce Babbitt. Lovejoy was also the Chief Advisor to the President of the World Bank as well as the World Bank ‘Specialist for the Environment for Latin America and the Carribean’.

The Nature Conservancy, founded 1951
Oldest of the three here, TNC was reformed out of the Ecologists Union by founder Bob Marshall, the son of well-known zionist Louis B. Marshall. It chartered it first chapter in New York in 1954 and made its first acquisition of the Arthur W. Butler Memorial Sanctuary. In 1988 TNC performed a debt-for-nature swap in Costa Rica for $240,000 worth of debt, and in the same year contracted with the US Dept of Defense (DOD) to manage 25 million acres of military lands. The new CEO and president of TNC is Goldman Sach’s Mark Tercek, who took his place in June 2008, following an appointment from The Nature Conservancy’s Chairman of the Board, Hank Paulson, to Goldman Sach’s Center for Environmental Markets in 2006. Tercek joined Goldman Sachs in 1984.

“The Nature Conservancy job puts [Tercek] in a position to have a big impact. The Conservancy is by far the world’s biggest conservation group, with an operating budget of nearly $500 million, about 3,600 employees including hundreds of scientists, and chapters in all 50 states and 36 countries…Tercek is looking to build alliances with other NGOs –the Nature Conservancy has joined the US Climate Action Partnership, for example– as well as with business.”

Dubious activities of the The Nature Conservancy are reviewed by author Ron Arnold in his book “Undue Influence”, using year 2000 figures which reckoned the assets of TNC worth $2.8 billion –2007 figures show double that amount, and according to “On average, 1000 acres a day are added to its system of nature preserves, the world’s largest. When TNC cannot buy desired property, it sometimes attains conservation easements restricting use of the land for tax benefits.”

How Does It Really Work?

These swaps appear to have complex arrangements involved concerning ownership and stewardship. Though I have a whole lot yet to learn and documents to find, for example, the USAID website here describing recent debt-for-nature swaps looks like an incredibly good deal for the conservation NGOs, another stick-it-to-the-US-taxpayer and an Agenda 21 social experiment in affected people who must relocate.

A deal made with Costa Rica in September of 2007 has “the U.S. government, Costa Rican government, Central Bank of Costa Rica, Conservation International and The Nature Conservancy agree[ing] to reduce Costa Rica’s debt payments to the US by $26 million over the next 16 years. In return, the Central Bank of Costa Rica committed to pay these funds into a debt-for-nature program to support grants to non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and other groups to protect and restore the country’s important tropical resources”.

According to this article, the United States Treasury paid $12.6 million “appropriated by the Tropical Forest Conservation Act (TFCA), with Conservation International and The Nature Conservancy providing an additional $1.26 million each to the purchase of the debt at a discounted rate..” So the US actually paid a total of $38.6 million for the deal. IC and TNC bought themselves 16 years of privileged ‘work’ at a combined cost of $2.5 million to run an eco-concession out of Costa Rica. And then what? We have yet to see the conclusion of any one of these debt-for-nature swaps. If you think that’s a bargain for restoration, consider that the ‘prweb’ article assesses the progress already made in Costa Rica without the swap, which had reforested more than 30% of lands previously cleared. The amount of land actually coming under NGO management through the swap is not named; 6 areas are
broadly referred to, however, in this blog item of the Tierra Pacifica community, which appears to reference a reputable media source, the acreage involved is noted to be 1000 acres. Is this possible, or just a local piece? Tierra Pacifica is a newly developed master-plan enclave on 220 acres poised between a protected mangrove estuary and the Pacific –fully gated with a guard house, modern amenities, new public paved road that runs directly to the Liberia International Airport– .  Is this the kind of ‘sustainable’ development that USAID and the TFCA approve in determining a mandate that “developing countries with critically important tropical forests meet certain political and economic requirements to be eligible for debt-for-nature swaps.”?

Guatemala 2006 – the U.S.’s first swap

“In, the United States government contributed about $15 million toward the cancellation of [$24 million of] Guatemalas’s debt, said Clay Lowery, assistant secretary of the Treasury…” (that’s a $39 million start-up cost )…”The bulk of the money generated by the debt forgiveness will go to private organizations…  Eligible countries must have democratically elected governments and a suitable economic reform program in place and they must cooperate with the United States on drug enforcement and counterterrorism efforts.”

Guatemalans in the way:  “Since the Maya Biosphere Reserve..was created in 1990, people have steadily moved in… To stem this flow,..The Nature Conservancy (TNC), the Guatemalan government, and [a Guatemalan NGO], experimented with a new strategy in see if [people] were open to the idea of small-scale voluntary resettlement. While resettlement is common in the develop realm, it is not we encounter much in conservation. In fact, we generally shy away from it..due to the social stigma it carries. Most resettlement projects..continue to be non-voluntary. The voluntary..Guatemala initiative maes it fundamentally different..and it may be the key to resettlement finding its place among conservation strategies.

“..The idea was to move families to areas more appropriate for development [where non-voluntary relocations tend to occur].. closer to public services. Most of the families..never truly settled down because they were unable to buy land and, therefore, were always squatting and living with..uncertainty… As such, land title is crucial for resettlement.

“..The thinking behind the plans goes like this. If a community agrees to move, the government and collaborating NGOs find it a piece of legal land.. physically move the community.. give them access to a long-term low-interest loan, and provide technical assistance to help them adapt to the new area… If the families are not satisfied or cannot adapt to the new area, they will return to the protected areas, thus defeating the biological and social objectives of the resettlement… Resettlement is not easy… Ideally, an entire small-to-medium-sized community is resttled as a whole. But that’s not always possible. Land is scarce [which is why people took residence in reserves in the first place].
“..The typical solution is to settle a smaller community into an already existing community. But predictably, combining different social structures and power relationships can lead to conflict.
“..Because Guatemala is just coming out of a brutal, 36-year civil war, many people remain cautious about engaging in any type of relationship with the government. Trust is essential…[and] the Guatemalan organizations have made several important changes. For example, in some of the first resettlements, an adequate water supply was provided after the resettlement. Now, knowing that the initial adjustment period is crucial, the agencies look for a natural water source when choosing land for the resettlement… [U]nder the right conditions, people will indeed voluntarily move themselves out of a situation that we..refer to as ‘people versus parks’.”
